In this world of ours, once a thing dies off another gets life to make it count. This is exactly what happened to Monday, it is no more and we are in Tuesday already. Even though another Monday will come but it will never have the day as 11th May,2020. It will come with a different date and a different feeling too.
As usual the gist around my world is what will be up in this post for the day. From my first blog yesterday I tried to cover up some of the major events that was stated in the 9th Presidential national address to the nation on how far we are with covid-19 and how best we can work towards the wellness of each individual around.
We did the extension of the ban of all social gatherings except for private burials which should be done by a maximum people of not more than 25. This part was the core item almost every Ghanaian wanted to hear since there were rumours around that after that Sunday we are free to do whatever we want since the ban given by the president was few hours to terminate.
So when the news was out that, the father of the country was going to speak all the attention was on whether or not that ban on social gatherings were going to be on halt still or we were going to be free to embrace one another on grounds.
In as much as the news hit some people especially some church leaders, who were all over the news that the President should allow us to go to church. When I heard this claim of some religious leaders, the very question I asked myself was are we really going to be safe when their claims were to even be considered.
To my knowledge, on the scale of 1 to 5, if am asked to make a stand by marking our system here in terms of church activities on keeping us safe I would just give us 1 out of the 5. Meaning we are a total failure.
People will never obey what they are being told and will break the rules that were going to be implemented. Some people will feel too proud to watch their hands or in the use of a hand sanitizers. The church will end up causing more harm than good in the fight of covid-19. We might end up getting more cases than we have because of that.
On the second which might even be my last note of the day in this blog will be the amount and items that were promised by the government to make the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE). Ever since we had some few cases of the virus people lambasted the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) for not doing their sole aim of educating the public on the issues at hand, especially those in the rural communities with no electricity.
This got the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) to come out to tell the issues at hand and how they lack the finances of providing education to everyone. And after weeks of the hell they had been through now the President in his power gave them what they needed to educate the mass around.
