One of the differences this year over prior is that I am bagging the beans into half and one pound bags where before I would deliver 10 pound bags and they would be broken down at the warehouse. This is due to the extra work that has been involved for everyone to get the CSA and USDA boxes put together. This also means that I am spending a healthy amount of time doing the bagging.
Yesterday I got the squash picked again first thing and the plants are definitely languishing a bit. Not even getting 30 per day right now I am hoping I get enough to fulfill my 2 orders for Friday. It is looking like I should but I won't know for sure until tomorrow most likely.
It took me a while to clean up and make room to do the bagging. After getting bread going in the bread machine I went to the cooler and brought 20 pounds of beans at a time in and dumped in the bucket and bagged from there. I had 88 pounds to bag up into 176 bags of half pounds. It took me 2 hours to get them all done and I was a bit sore by the time I was shoving the 3 full boxes of bagged beans into the cooler.
Back at the shed for a bit I got the piece of sheathing up on the door end. That gives me 2 walls up now, I do have a little tiny piece I have to fill in at the very top where the sheathing was a couple inches shy. Not super important at the moment.
Took the auger wood bit and drilled the electrical holes in the studs. Luckily it was long enough to get through the triple stacked 2x4s.
I hit a few screws with it and dulled the cutting edge a bunch but I managed to get all the holes drilled. I have enough Romex to run all the wire internally but need the boxes. I have the rafter drilled as well for the lighting wire and the line to the other side of the shed for those outlets.
First thing this morning I get to deliver the bunches of beans then back to picking, building, and schooling.
