Yesterday was a day where very little actually worked out the way I was hoping. The early morning was fairly normal but once R was up for the day I couldn't stay on one task for more than 10 minutes at a time. I'm finding that I am going to have to go back to the word sprint for writing to get it done in the morning. After this stupid cold wonked my schedule out of whack I need to get back on it and they seem to do a good job of getting me to focus.
Mid day I worked on gathering the things I would need for scouts, construction paper, paper, scissors, glue, yarn needles, thread, and I popped a grocery bag full of popcorn. I had everything together nice and early and set aside ready to go.
I started to work on the freezer but it was close to time to pick J up from school so I got the measurements done and figured out how the thing will have to go up the stairs. I have a lot of cleaning and rearranging in the stairwell to do before trying to somehow get it out of the basement.
The afternoon I did some research on winches that I could mount to my trailer or the bed of my truck for pulling stuff onto the trailer. They really aren't terribly expensive the hardest part is the wiring and mounting them solid enough.
After making dinner the boys and I headed up to the grange for Scouts. We got there and then waited since our scout master was not there, soon one family showed and we stood around and talked as our scout master still wasn't there. Eventually the third family showed up, by that point we were just about at good byes. As I got into the truck to drive off I looked at my phone and saw his message that he had a friend pass and spaced the meeting.
We got home by 6:30 and I got the trailer hooked up for getting grain this morning.
This morning I have been to town and back for grain and to drop empties and there was more snow to the south in the city than there was up north. J is at school and R has his Christmas concert for the preschoolers this morning. It is supposed to snow a good bit mid day, I get my seed order and heat mat, I have unload the grain, and try to get more words down today than yesterday.
