As a Southerner, I was the first time visit a northern city in winter, I felt that I fell into the ice cellar, but there was not so cold as my imagination. At least the clothes were not as bloated as I imagined. In southern , weather is cold and wet , so the feeling seems more cold than northern .
It was only 5 pm when I arrived in Harbin, but it was already dark. Is the sky in the north dark so early? With curious, I rushed to outdoor! Well, there is not so cold as my imagination, it is acceptable!
I would like to stay in hostel then, it was so cold and dark outside, but I thought it just 5 pm, I spent such a long time to fly to Harbin, just spent the time in hostel ? That’s wasteful. Why don’t I visit the most famous Central Street?
Arrived Central Street, I felt like arrived a Russian souvenir street. Why are Russian dolls sold all over the street? I thought that as a Chinese street , should be with Chinese characteristics instead of sold Russian dolls. If I want to buy a Russian doll, I will buy it in Russia.
Later, I finally found something with Harbin’s special characteristics—the Maddie popsicle! Eating popsicles outdoors at minus 19 degrees, my mother no longer has to worry about my slow eating! Spent a long time to taste the popsicle slowly, super frozen and super exciting! And it’s pretty delicious ~
The bus stations in Harbin are a bit pretentious! Every station starts with the word “Ha”, Ha west Station, Ha University station, I still can understand, but what is Ha hundred, and Ha station? I really don’t understand, why do they have to name the bus stop with the beginning of “Ha”?
A episode, I live in a hostel at that night, there was a foreign girl live in the same room with me, looks like a Russian, and surely used to use a heater!
Why do I say that? As a southerner like me who doesn’t use a heater, I will be afraid of will the heater overheat, can I touch it, will I get burned or not. But I found the girl was put her washed socks and pants on the heater to dry directly ,no any worrying as me, it is definitely a girl often used heaters!
