Throughout my life I have experienced the anguishing need to consume foods rich in sugars, I confess that in some of those anxious moments I have asked myself, why do I feel like eating sweets, and without knowing the most effective answer I know that it is possible that behind this irrepressible desire to eat sweets there are organic causes.
I once heard on a television program that the human being is biologically programmed to consume foods that have a high sugar index, which give a lot of energy and allow us to maintain vital functions, however, sometimes we overeat sweets, which can lead to health problems.
This need to consume foods that have a high sugar index, usually occurs when we are very bored and we do not find anything to distract our mind, often we tend to fall into states of anxiety and despair, which leads us to want to fill that momentary emotional void we feel with some food, especially with those that we like more and generate us pleasure as in the case of sugar.

In order to face these cases of extreme anxiety to consume foods rich in sugar, people undergo very strict diets, most often they abandon the intake of foods high in sugar, however, this can cause them to end up having more need to eat sugar, so the best thing to do is to start having control of our emotions and balance the intake.
