Some posts right here on HIVE pop out to me as food that I have to think twice about. In fact, that's where the idea for this post comes from.
Would you eat Deep Fried Ruffled Fat? Check out this post by where you can see exactly how to make it for yourself. I may have had to think twice but my second thought was I'd be willing to at least try it.

Rattlesnake Cooked Over A Fire & Spit
I'd have to say that rattlesnake makes the top of my list. We were on a Boy Scout camping trip where tons of troops from around the area had come to compete. Passing by one of the other troops' campsites, we noticed they were cooking over a spit and fire.
Upon closer approach, it was clearly a snake they had on the spit. Some boys had alerted the adults of this rattler nearby and they decided to remove the danger.......and have it for lunch.
I have to say from what I remember it was tasty, like chicken, but very chewy. Perhaps it was overcooked but I had the sensation that it was a matter of texture.
Rattlesnake isn't really that strange, I suppose. I've also had elk medallions and bison burgers. They both were very tasty but not that strange either.
How About Swedish Surstromming?
Have you seen this video before? This poor family. I won't give it away in case you haven't yet seen it. Perhaps some of you have tried or even like this dish? There's got to be some Swedes on HIVE. I wonder how they feel about it?
This is one dish I don't have to think twice about. I don't want to be anywhere near it. There is the time I ate the fresh heart of a Yellowtail caught right off the sportfishing boat. I don't really consider that a meal as it's more of a rite of passage.
The Del Mar Fair
We've yet to see how they'll run the fairgrounds this year, but in past years there's some strange delicacies. Do you like fried food? Cause typically the Del Mar Fair has fried everything.
Fried bananas, fried ice-cream, peaches, hot dogs, vegetables, waffles, bacon, and more. When I go, a huge fried turkey leg does me just right.
