Greetings friends of @Gems
I am happy to have a lot of free time to create and discover things in life that, although simple, allow us to live creative moments during quarantine.
This time I want to share a sweet, refreshing and very nutritious drink known as La chicha criolla Venezolana. Its origin is not precise, but the sixteenth century is known.
According to Wikipedia:
"Chicha" is the name given to various varieties of drinks derived mainly from the undistilled fermentation of corn and other cereals originating in America; although also, to a lesser extent, they are usually prepared from the fermentation of different cereals and fruits.
This popular drink in our country has a leading role in homes. Children love this recipe to share with a piece of cake at snack time.
It is very easy to prepare and to get the ingredients:
-2 cup of rice
-9 cups of water
-2 cups of liquid milk
-1 1/2 cup of sugar
-Crushed ice
-Cinnamon powder
-Condensed milk
-Vanilla
Preparation
-To begin, leave the rice to soak in water for at least 2 hours before taking it to the kitchen.
-Cook the rice until it is very soft. This process takes about 40 minutes.
-Once it is well cooked, proceed to liquefy it with the two cups of milk and the two cups of sugar until it is well beaten.
-Don't forget to put the ice cubes, the vanilla essence and a touch of condensed milk and let it cool.
-Finally, serve with more ice and add a little ground cinnamon.
Look how rich it looks, it was divine!
Here at home we wanted to prepare her to share, in the Venezuelan style and in a very Creole way, the International day of the family.
I hope it is to your liking, I am sure that the children at home will be fascinated, I invite you to prepare it and enjoy it with your family or friends.
Bon Appetite!!
