I took these long exposures about a year ago in Tampere. That was three weeks before the epidemic and the beginning of the lockdown. This was the last time I visited Tampere.
As you can see there is no snow and much of the lake is free of ice.

Näsinneula observation tower on the left behind the esker. Height 168 m.
A district of Pirkkala on the southern shore of the lake
This is within Tampere city limits.
Hotel Rosendahl in Pyynikki. The observation tower at the top of the esker is the Pyynikki observation tower built in 1928.
The bridge over the mouth of Tammerkoski rapid. Hotel Ilves in the background.
The tallest building in the middle is Hotel Torni. A group of skyscrapers will be built to the right of it. The entire railyard will be covered by a deck on which an icehall/concert arena will be built in addition to the skyscrapers.
I took the previous few pictures with the long lens. Here I used the 18-50 mm objective.
It was almost pitch black dark to the naked eye. The image quality is quite remarkable. ISO 800, f/6.3, 25s, 18 mm.
Back to the car. What you're looking at is the Hatanpää manor. Its last private owner - it's not owned by the city - was Nils Idman, a bank manager who robbed his own bank in 1912. The case was the biggest embezzlement case in the history of the Nordic countries at the time.
