Drinking milk daily is good habbit, but drinking plain milk is not our habbit. Milk is considered to be a complete food. A glass full of milk good source of all nutrients required by our body. Drinking milk daily,completes all the body requirement. But in our home, we do not drink the plain milk. We always make sure to add little bit of turmeric to make it turn yellow. We actually drink yellow milk.
I think that yellow milk is one of the oldest home remedies for getting rid of seasonal flu. And every indians are aware about it. But in our home we always make sure to have it daily. My Mom used to add little bit of turmeric while boiling to turn the milk Yellow. Just because it helps our body in many ways. My dad used to say
- yellow milk helps the body to relax
- it allows good sleep
- it removes all kind of body tiredness
- it helps to improve body Immunity
- it helps to Increase the concentration level.
- it helps in case of bodyache.
- it is a good medicine during cold and cough.
Many people do not like to drink milk, but milk consumption is good for health. While it is good source of calcium, and helps the body bones to get stronger. Milk can be consumed for other body requirements. Many young kids of my age prefer to have different cols drinks or energy drinks like red bulls. But having a glass of milk in either form will give all kund of body nessities.
Yellow milk can be made in two different ways. In our home we use to add little quantity of turmeric while boiling the milk. But at many homes they like to add turmeric on already boiled milk. But both ways are effective for our health. This is why my parents prefer to give a different look to milk by adding turmeric on our milk that can be beneficial for our body.
Make sure to try it once to feel the difference. May be it sounss unorthodox practice, but old is gold.
