Some time ago I dedicated some videos to talk about the lives of women who have marked history, and I feel that they have been hours of reading and study that really comforted my life and my position as a woman in society; one of those women I discovered and talked about was Marie Curie, a scientist who discovered several chemical elements such as Polonium and Radium, among others; and contributed in the development of radioactivity for its use in medicine.

At that moment I identified with her story and her courage and since then I admire her achievements. Recently I was scrolling around trying to see something interesting and I discovered a movie inspired by her life and her husband's; I couldn't resist and watch the biopic.
In this production, Marie Curie's life from different aspects, family, personal, professional, and social life. During the development of the film, it was inevitable not to be sensitive to all the challenges for a woman scientist of that time. I was able to reflect on many factors of human history that possibly remain, such as investing more in wars than in scientific development that contributes to society.
Life as a woman and among women
I don't know what is the logical reason, I am ignorant in this aspect, but we women have affected each other for a long time, I don't know if it is because we want to be better, or to stand out more, but we have created a culture of pointing out and destructive criticism that is not healthy; in the film, we see the difficult situations that Marie Curie lived through as a consequence of this pointing out.
Today in many parts of the world society is more open to certain issues and the relationship between women has improved enormously, which makes me very happy to live in this time in history.
Traveling through history
This film takes us back to another era, in July 1898 Marie and her husband presented the discovery of Polonium, at that time scientists were competing to register their studies in time before someone else published the same discovery.
The film does not fail to highlight Marie Curie's character, which led her to make great discoveries and limited her in many aspects. Undoubtedly a movie worth watching, there is history, social drama, science, a little bit of everything. Ideal for those like me who like movies based on real-life history.

En ese momento me identifiqué con su historia y su coraje y desde ahí admiro sus logros. Recientemente estaba haciendo scroll tratando de ver algo interesante y descubrí una película inspirada en su vida y la de su esposo; no me resistí y vi la película biográfica.
En esta producción nos muestran la vida de Marie Curie desde diversos aspectos, vida familiar, personal, profesional y social. En el desarrollo de la película fue inevitable no sentir sensibilidad ante todos los retos para una mujer científica de la época. Pude reflexionar sobre muchos factores de la historia humana que posiblemente aún perduren como hacer mayor inversión en guerras que en desarrollo científico que aporte a la sociedad.
La vida como mujer y entre mujeres
No se cual es la razón bilógica, soy ignorante en ese aspecto, pero las mujeres durante mucho tiempo nos hemos afectado unas a otras, no se si es por querer ser mejor, o por destacar más, pero hemos creado una cultura de señalamiento y critica destructiva que no es sana; en la película vemos las difíciles situaciones que vivió Marie Curie como consecuencia de este señalamiento.
Hoy día en diversos lugares del mundo la sociedad es más abierta a ciertos temas y la relación entre mujeres ha mejorado enormemente, lo cual me alegra muchísimo, vivir en esta época de la historia.
Viajando en la historia
Esta película nos hace viajar a otra época, en julio de 1898 Marie y su esposo presentaron el descubrimiento del Polonio, en aquel momento los científicos competían por registrar sus estudios a tiempo antes de que alguien más publicara el mismo descubrimiento.
En la película no dejan de resaltar el carácter de Marie Curie, el mismo que la llevó a realizar grandes descubrimientos y que también la limitó en muchos aspectos. Sin duda una película que vale la pena ver, hay historia, drama social, ciencia, de todo un poco. Ideal para quienes como yo les gustan las películas basadas en la historia de la vida real.
