Hello.
There is an old aunt in our neighborhood who raises chickens and sells chicken eggs. Sometimes he gives eggs when I help him with chores like going to the grocery store. Since I grew up in the city, I had some difficulties when I moved to the village life here. I did not know the names of many fruit and plant seedlings. I didn't even know the names of the trees. This old lady taught me many things. Sometimes he calls me specifically to see him.
She raised ten chicks this past summer and when they were little I went to pet them every day. It is impossible to witness such things in city life. So here I was enjoying them and learning what I needed to learn.
On my way to the market again, I passed by your aunt's house. As soon as he saw me, he called me in a hurry. He said he wanted to give me eggs as a gift. He told me to wait for him to bring it, this time the egg was very different. As I looked behind her, I thought, "How can an egg be different?" When he came to me he showed me a "green egg". I've never seen green eggs before. I was surprised and asked him how it happened, but he didn't know either. When I got home, I researched and some chickens especially Chilean chickens are laying green eggs.
This egg also has very low cholesterol. Many websites mention that it is high in calories. It is debatable what nutritional value is compared to other eggs, but what impressed me the most was that it had a soft green color. I couldn't hide my surprise as I saw it for the first time. The aunt who gave me the egg was watching my face and smiling because she was wondering what my reaction would be. I feel lucky to get out of the city life and come here and witness such beautiful things. I learned a lot of new things here, not just about eggs, and I'm still learning.
I wanted to share this here in case there are some of you who have never seen green eggs like me before. How did you find it? Have you seen eggs like this before? Is it only the green shell that distinguishes this egg from other eggs? I would be very happy if anyone knows.
