Hello everyone.
Today I took advantage of getting gasoline and I was able to go shopping at the fish and seafood market.
For breakfast prepare Venezuelan arepas stuffed with octopus salad to vary the menu in this quarantine.
This arepa is known as the mattress breaker since its filling has a product from the sea such as the aforementioned octopus, which is very succulent and appreciated for its aphrodisiac contributions and is very tasty and famous in my country.
AREPA STUFFED WITH OCTOPUS SALAD
- The octopus is put in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes, then with a fork you take it out and dip it 3 times and let it boil for 15 more minutes. It should be al dente, it is lowered from the fire and it is allowed to cool and it is cleaned with cold water to eliminate the gelatinous part. It is cut into wheels and drained.
- Finely chop the onion and coriander.
- Garnish with mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Mix all the octopus, onion and coriander ingredients, with the dressing in a glass container and taste the salt and acidity should be to your liking.
INGREDIENTS
Arepas dough
2 cups of precooked cornmeal.
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 ½ cups of water
- and finally just fill the arepa, decorate it with a previously boiled and seasoned crab.
