Indeed in dates there is a cure. Dates are dry fruits and are used everywhere but in the month of Ramadan Muslims use these dry fruits when they do iftaari, because it boosts energy.
Dates are a great and biggest source of energy, fibre, calories, calcium and potassium. Dates are found in the middle East and in the tropical areas and in the Arabs deserts.
Dates are of different kinds some are dry and some are fleshy wet and some dates have no seed in them and that date is known as Ajwa Date and it is mostly found in the Arabs as there is a trend if using dates and this is the reason that Arabs are strong and healthy because dates provide us a lot of minerals which are necessary for the body.
In the below picture the dates on the left side are dry and the other side dates are fleshy and wet. The dry dates are more costly than the wet and dark color dates.
These dates contain a lot of carbohydrates, indeed these are small in size but these contain a lot of vitamins, calories, fibres and especially carbohydrates. If you eat dates then these dates suppress yourself from having sugar and in this way dates help you to control your hunger all the day.
It is recommended that if you don't want to eat much then simply eat dates they will provide you energy all the day because of high carbohydrates.
Dates are treasures of power, dates produce amino-acids, vitamins, glucose, fructose and on the whole you can say that a powerhouse of the nutrients.
But it should be kept in mind that we should eat dates at a moderate rate. We should not eat too many dates that we fall prey to loose motions. As these are full of nutrients so excess use of dates can cause loose motions and it is really a bad thing.
Dates make our immune system strong and provides protection against different diseases. Dates are also capable of providing protection against the cancer which is a fatal disease of blood. Continuous use of dates can make you more energetic and smart.
It can help to reduce your body weight and extra fat. Because we know that dates have high carbohydrates and then it keeps you away from eating too much. Because after having dates you don't crave for anything else, and consequently you burn your fat and be one smart and handsome.
Dates are also useful for the patients of blood sugar level. In most persons there is an irregularity of the blood sugar level. But by eating dates they can control their sugar level as well. Dates provide natural sugar and thus natural sugar provides normal regulations other than the artificial sweets. It has a unique and rich sweet taste which is better than any other artificial sweet.
Dates are rich with the dietry fibre and it is recommended to take dietary fibre on daily basis to prevent yourself from the constipation. It makes the digestion system smooth.
Dates are also a great source to keep balance of fluids in the body. As dates contain potassium and it is useful for the correct blood circulations. So dates keep the blood pressure at the normal conditions. Those people who have problem of high blood pressure can use dates and it reduces the high blood pressure as it contains sugar and sweetness. So in this way dates can also protect us from the heart strokes.
Dates also protect eyes from the diseases which come with age. Basically dates contain carotinoids such as lutein which protects eyes from the diseases as these carotinoids are present in the eyes tissues.
Moreover dates have a full pack of the vitamin b and fill our need for the vitamin b which makes our metabolism system regular and more active and fast. Meanwhile it also provides strength to the nervous system and makes the nervous system more strong and active.
We are also aware that calcium and phosphorus make our bones strong and healthy. Bones grow and become powerful because of the combined working of calcium and phosphorus. And dates contain these ingredients as well, they contain calcium and phosphorus which helps to make our bones strong and healthy.
So it is all about the dates, the rich and sweet dry fruit that are really delicious and have a lot of benefits.
How these dates are useful for me?
So now it's time to share my experience about the dates. I use dates mostly in the month of Ramadan as it comes in plenty in this Holy month. As I am Muslim as everyone knows that Ramadan month us going on and all the adult Muslims have fasts.
As I am also having fasts and as I have mentioned earlier the the benefits of date. So in keeping them in mind I do iftari with the dates. I put the dates in cool water when the time of iftaari is near. In this way the dates become more soft and juicy and then I take them.
These dates provide me energy and make me active. And these dates keep me away from the weakness which comes due to fast. Being hungry and thirsty all day is not an easy job. But I am doing it with the help of the nutrients present in the dates. All my other family members also use dates in this way.
Sometimes we make banana milk shakes and use dates as well. I blend the dates and bananas in the milk and it becomes even more delicious than the simple bananas milk shake.
