The goal is to create a life that I don't need to escape from.
So. Aside from working nonstop, I've also been busy buying, selling and upgrading some stuff in my hobbit house. Since I've been spending most of my time indoors working from home, I feel like I deserve a really satisfying indoor environment. Because guess what? The outside world is crazzzzy. And people too, ugh.
I just need to feel comfortable while being a money machine. I don't really know much about what's happening around these days, living in the distraction really works. I mean is there COVEEEEEED still oh and I'm not vaxxed yet by the way. I'm just here literally waiting for someone to knock on my door and point a gun to my head saying, "get vaxxed or die!".
In my region, they are requiring vax cards for people to be able to dine in fast food restaurants or go to the gym. Well, I don't really need to go to these places since I cook most of the time and walk outside for exercise.
By the way, how are you all? Are you also celebrating now that HIVE's $1 ++. I think we're thriving here.
Now check out my tiny work-from-home space (I know this makes you feel like you're in a 80's night club or something LOL).
When I'm feeling diabolic I can just ask my AI to turn the light red or blue if I'm feeling blue. I can set the mood anytime and make the light go with my music. The light's gonna turn on when it's time to wake up too - tricking my mind that it's morning even if it's not (I work at night). Really loving my smart RGB bulb!
Not only I have a smart bulb, I also have some smart plugs. I can set everything in my smartphone and turn on/off the AC and fan at certain times. I can even ask my bot to make me a coffee as soon as I wake up.
I heavily rely on smart technology now but you know, technology is only cool when it works. All these things can give you hell as soon as they stopped working. I remember one episode from Mr. Robot when Darlene and her team hacked the lawyers' smart home so they can drive her crazy. Everything went uncontrollable, her room was too cold, the shower was too hot, the security alarm was blaring...She couldn't control the settings anymore.
Now I don't think I will reach that point because you got to be rich for everything to be smart. And I only have a hobbit home here. But yeah, at least it feels fun to work while you have a nice music and cools lights in the background. You know, simple pleasures.
I only want simple things in life - even a van life in the woods would do. As long as I have my laptop, smartphone, smart lights... some emergency tool kit maybe. Cast iron skillet too. Oh and AC (if it's warm and humid there too) etc.
Maybe next time, I'll get a nice rug too. Ooops my smartwatch says it's time to stand up now lol.
I guess I now have a perfect misanthropic woman cave set up finally and my cat's loving it too!
