Hi friends,
The story I am going to tell you happened last Sunday. Due to an emergency in the laboratory of a client I had to improvise a trip to Madrid to be there first thing Monday morning to solve a problem in a large multinational that many of you know (Repsol).
Therefore, on Sunday I decided to travel with my company car to Madrid and at the same time take the opportunity to see my relatives who live near Madrid, including my 8 year old cousin. But I was faced with the problem of going to visit them and not having any gift for my cousin, which worried me, because every child at that age expects visits with some surprise, no matter how small.
During my way to Madrid (550km) I was thinking about what I could buy on a Sunday and where to buy it when the stores were closed. Until I took a lunch break in a service area.
After lunch, when I found myself drinking a coffee that was very tasty and whose brand I had never seen before.
The taste was very intense, with bitter aftertaste as I like it and because of that I decided to take some pictures in order to write a post and also to have a picture of the brand and try to look for it in the stores near home to buy it in the future.
As I was taking the last sip of coffee, as if the caffeine was awakening all my senses, it occurred to me to visit the souvenir and candy store in the service area to find something that would be shocking to my cousin.
The first thing I found was a series of skull statuettes, but it wasn't a good idea, even though my cousin likes the Halloween skull theme, I think it was a gift choice more geared towards myself.
But as I moved on to the next counter I found that which might shock my cousin and what thanks to the coffee I thought to prowl the service area store. A giant lollipop.
The look on my cousin's face as I handed her the giant lollipop said it all.
It wasn't just one giant stick candy though, there were 15 little lollipops inside.
All in all, the coffee taken during lunch sharpened my wits and made me find a matching gift for my dear cousin and what better than to share it in this community.
Happy week.
