We popped into the Cool River Cafe today. The weather has been quite mild so people were sitting outside in the sun. Although, the greyhound still decided it was still too chilly to discard it's coat. They don't have a lot of meat on their bones. I have plenty, but we still opted to sit indoors.
It's usually quite busy in the cafe but it wasn’t too bad today, and we had a choice of seats next to the window. The window only looks out onto the car park but it's fun to watch people park in a tight car park!
The coffee comes from an ethical company that specialises in fair trade beverages. We ordered a couple of capaccinos and a black americano.
We had vegetable soup, bread cob with butter, french fries, jacket potato with salad and homemade coleslaw and a pepperoni quiche and salad. Everything on the menu really! The food that came was fresh, and very tasty served by friendly staff. It was a pleasant visit. Just hope nobody was looking through the window watching us try to get out of the tight car park!
