Hi Hive Lovers
The pleasure of the taste of coffee is in the authenticity and purity of its taste. If mixed with anything, the taste of the coffee will be spoiled. I've discussed about how to distinguish between real coffee and fake coffee. It will really help you to understand this post if you read it first.
The pleasure of pure coffee taste will be very pronounced and very strong on the first sip. That's when coffee makes its first contact with the taste buds on our tongue. You will experience the coffee's very strong taste. You will understand this very well, if you are a connoisseur of pure coffee without any mixture, be it sugar, cream, milk or other mixtures that are often used in coffee variation menus.
In the second sip and the next sips, you will feel the pleasure of the coffee taste has changed slightly or has decreased in strength. It is a result of our brain working which has "received a message" from the taste buds on the tongue about the taste of coffee shortly after the first sip. Actually this is the perception of our minds due to the long aftertaste that coffee gives around our mouths and throats.
Aren't all the "taste messages" given by your tongue, received and then processed by your brain, about a mindset that forms perception?
As a coffee addict, I have a trick for those of you who drink coffee often so that you always get a strong coffee taste in every sip from your coffee cup. I often test this repeatedly on my friends who also drink coffee often. I have managed to form a mindset and become a perception of the power of coffee for myself and my friends.
The trick is to intersperse each sip of coffee from your cup of coffee by sucking in small pieces of palm sugar. I always ask for a small plate of this palm sugar, if I order a glass of my bitter coffee.
Palm sugar is traditional sugar which is processed from palm water/water sap by boiling it continuously over medium heat until it thickens. If it has thickened then let it sit at room temperature and can be stored for months in a closed container or refrigerator without changing the taste. It's so sweet.
The sweet taste of palm sugar is able to neutralize the coffee taste left in your mouth and the long aftertaste of coffee will soon disappear and the taste buds on your tongue will become neutral again.
Finally, when you sip your coffee again, you will feel the strong coffee taste again like your first sip.
