For a guy who drank Nescafe Classic for most of his life, this Davidoff experience was a strong one.
When I first got this jar I thought I'd finish it in just a month or two, but here I am 3 to 4 months later, and I can probably make 4 to 5 more cups with the bits of coffee that I have left. 100 grams of coffee lasting more than 3 months is a win-win situation for me, but that's all thanks to Summer season and its hellish heat. During summer time I always cut down on my coffee and tea intake. Also, the recent price hikes aren't insignificant in any way, it's now a considerable factor, and because of it a lot of people have actually lowered their coffee intake.
Yet, even though it's not cheap, I still can't deny that I really enjoyed most of the cups of coffee I made at home, using the coffee granules of this Davidoff Espresso 57. Paired with any decent creamer, it's classic taste and combo. My lifelong Nescafe Classic experience surely wasn't as enjoyable, no matter what I tried.
Throughout the past few months I've tried countless methods of prepping some good coffee at home, and in the end the simplest method worked out the best.
I put a teaspoon of coffee, 3 teaspoons of cream, and half a teaspoon of sugar in a cup, then just add some hot water into it, and voila, you have yourself a decent cup of coffee in under 5 minutes.
Before discovering this eternal mystery of coffee and its simple ways, I tried different types of milk, different amounts of coffee, and even heated the coffee twice in different methods. And to be honest, most of it was a disastrous experience, an absolute waste of time lol.
Thus, sometimes simplicity is the answer.
And...
"sometimes simplicity can also be the toughest to master"
When you get the amount of ingredients just right and mix it well, the result is a good ole cup of coffee with a creamy top layer. To me it's just perfect.
Yet, I won't stop here, next time I plan on trying something a bit lighter from the Davidoff lineup. I've also asked around quite a lot, and it seems that I'm surrounded by people who prefer Nescafe; whether it be taste, range or price, they say Nescafe has it all. My Nescafe coffee experience hasn't been the best, but that's probably because I always kept the cheapest option in my home.
Nescafe's creamer however, it is the only Nescafe product that I've always preferred, because it is the cheapest option; yet, the quality is really good. But I think I'll also try the Nescafe Gold lineup somewhere along the line, just to see what the fuss is all about. It's the most common and fanciest option from the Nescafe coffee lineup available here.
However, whether it be Nescafe, Davidoff, or some fancy coffee beans, what I've realized in the past few months is that...
"the best type of coffee is the one that you like, and the type that you can afford."
It's as simple as that.
For the love of coffee. Cheers ☕️
