In Chiang Mai, I have been lucky enough to have a chance to meet new interesting people all the time. First, for the fact that Chiang Mai is top 10 digital nomads city in the world and second, I chose to start my stay in Chiang Mai in a coliving space so that makes it even easier for me to meet people.
One of the people I met, Resi from Germany, got one of the most incredible jobs, she writes about coffee for a living! I don't know how that happened and there's such a thing as that job title.. well, I guess so at this point. It's also normal to ask for some advice from someone who's a pro and here it is..
Koff & Things.th
Koff & Things.th was the first name coming from her when I ask about one of her most favorite coffee shops around. She said the coffee is really good. The atmosphere is also nice. Also located just right by the old city so it's convenient even for a quick coffee break.
It's a building really just off the main road so it's right in the city. For some reasons, they manage to build something that people wouldn't think it's in the city if they see the photo of the place from outside.
They serve both dessert and drinks. Our friend got a Japanese Cheese cake to share. Rich and smooth.. pretty good. Then we 3 got 3 different drinks, iced-americano, latte, dirty. I liked my light roast americano and the other 2 liked theirs.
The atmosphere is indeed good for just chilling, having a chat with friends, and even to come work for a few hours as there are a few good table with good height on the second floor.
Coffee trips from my coffee expert friend
There are roasts to choose from. If it's americano, personally usually go with light roast and if it's latte or cappuccino or anything with milk at all, I go with darker roast just to smooth things out but not too light so..
Today I have learned the whole new thing, Resi told me right roast is also good with coffee with milk! The subtle flavors, the coffee aroma but still, the smoothness from the milk.. I also find it sound classy #lol so from that day, when I order a cup of latte and there're choices for the roast, I go with light roast always.
I like it here at Koff & Things.th. -- I'm not a regular customer but I would recommend people to visit and try it out if they have a chance to come visit Chiang Mai.
Koff & Things.th visiting tips: If you love the warmth of the sun, go there in the afternoon on the second floor, the temperature from inside with the light sunshine through the window make it all so cozy. Make it even a better cup of coffee!
