"Smile because life is too short to be unhappy."
Hello Hive!
This is my first post here in Cinnamon Cup Coffee community. I finally have a place to post my cafe adventures. Although I'm not a coffee lover, I frequently visit coffee shops just to chill. I love the aroma of coffee and the overall ambience of a coffee shop, but I don't drink coffee because I would have palpitations if I do so.
My orders would be whatever's available on the menu that has no coffee. Often I would go for shakes or fruit juices. Good thing this community is inclusive of anything cafe or coffee shop related, so I don't have to worry about posting here even if I don't drink coffee.
I already shared with you some night photos taken from Bai Hotel. We had a wonderful staycation there last Friday and after checking out, we didn't immediately go home. We chilled at Wallstreet Coffee + Bar which is located on the ground floor of the hotel, near the lobby area. Anyway, if you haven't checked out those night photos yet, you can head to my previous post through the link below:
Wallstreet Coffee + Bar is just like any typical coffee shop that serves specialty coffees, lattes, teas, and light snacks. At first, I thought it would be a high-end cafe since it's located in a hotel, but the ambience was just like in any casual coffee shops that I frequently visit.
Interiors
The coffee shop looked empty because of the social distancing and other health protocols due to the pandemic, but I imagine a very different scene if there was no pandemic. Following the guidelines, they have a different entrance and exit to prevent people from crossing paths.
The ambience is relaxed and very casual. The brown and woody tones go well with the black and industrial interior which for me became like a template of coffee shops, except for those that tried to be different. I guess it's the colour of the coffee that they're trying to imitate.
If there was no pandemic, it would have been packed with people from students to young professionals who needed a quick fix and a daily dose of caffeine. I can imagine the place to be bustling especially during the weekends. Tourists and those who checked in at the hotel can chill at the coffee shop without worrying of going outside the hotel premises, although Parkmall is just a few meters away.
This clock seemed to be the odd design at the wall near the counter area, but I love the overall tone of this fixture. I'm not sure of the rationale behind this design, but it's a stark contrast of the dark and woody tones, and the industrial look of the cafe.
Selections
Aside from the usual coffee and non-coffee drinks, they have some freshly baked goodies and sweets that will surely go well with your favourite drinks. If you zoom in on the photo above, you'll get the idea of the price range of those light snacks. For me, it's surprisingly much better compared to other cafes. Consider that mango cheesecake which would be at around the same price at other cafes with just a slice.
They also offer healthier options that are separated from the sweets counter. From assorted fruits to fresh salads and sandwiches, I'm sure they'll have something that could satisfy your cravings.
I ordered a mixed berry shake (again, anything non-coffee drinks) and a chocolate croissant. Price-wise, it's just fair considering the serving size. It served as our brunch which was surprisingly filling for me. We stay at the cafe until around 1:30 PM before going home.
I guess that's all for this post. See you in the next one! I have this post that I've promised for a long time and I haven't even started yet. It became my Sword of Damocles. I need to get that out of the way soon. Stay tuned folks!
