I saw these the other day and knew I had to buy them!
Remember when edamame was that fun, new snack that everyone wanted to pop in their mouth?
Well just a few years ago, SHISHITO PEPPERS seemed to overtake that #1 new snack spot!
And they are super easy to make! And even more fun .... They are like a little game of Russian roulette of snacking!
Why?
Well because about one in every 8 peppers are hot! Hahahaha
So....will you get 7 sweet and stop? Or...will you bite into a spicy one?!?!
Here is how to make them!
Heat up some neutral flavored oil in a pan... Turn up high. Drop the SHISHITO PEPPERS in!
You're going to cook them on the skillet until they blister, and start to look like this!
Here are the other ingredients...
That's:
4 cloves Fresh garlic
2 Tbsp Mirin wine
2 Tbsp Sesame oil
2 Tbasp Soy sauce
1 Tbsp Sugar
Sprinkle of sesame seeds, to finish
Once they have a nice blister... Toss in the chopped garlic, and then all the other ingredients (except the sesame oil and seeds)
Once all the liquid is cooked down, it will be a nice sticky mixture that costs the peppers.
Add a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top and serve!!!!
So guess who got the first spicy bite???
My hubby!!! 😂😂😂😩🥵🔥
Hahahahhaa it was his VERY first bite!!! I eventually got 2 spicy ones too. You might think those red ones were the spicy ones!!!
Well, yes. Some were and some weren't. Heheh so the color doesn't give away the spice. You just have to take the risk for the rush!!!
