I wish you a wonderful day. Today, with pleasure, I share a new recipe: some alfajores filled with arequipe with coconut edges, the perfect combination of softness inside and crunchy in every bite, a delicious taste to the palate with a soft texture that will simply delight you.
I got the inspiration for this delicious creation during the pastry course on Monday. Below, I will show you the preparation, the ingredients and the step-by-step so you can enjoy this pleasant and tasty delicacy.

| 37 grams | of butter |
| 3 tablespoons | sugar |

| 1 cup | cornstarch |

- To begin, place the vegetable shortening in a bowl with the butter and sugar, stir with the help of an electric mixer at medium speed until creamy and obtain a smooth mixture without sugar lumps.
- After creaming, add the egg and cream essence and stir.
- Sift the baking powder together with the wheat flour and cornstarch, add to the wet ingredients and with the help of a paddle stir until a sandy mixture is obtained.
- Transfer the mixture to the counter and mix without kneading, transfer the dough to plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 45 minutes.
- Once the time has elapsed, remove the dough from the refrigerator and place it on the counter to stretch with the help of a rolling pin and a heart cutter, cut our alfajores.
- Grease and sprinkle the baking pan, add each portion of alfajor.
- Then, we take it to the oven previously turned on at 130ยฐ Celsius, for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
- After the time has elapsed, we remove our ready alfajores and let them cool to be able to fill them.
- Select each heart-shaped alfajor, start adding the arequipe, join the two and finish by spreading the coconut on the edges.
- Ready to enjoy our delicious heart-shaped alfajores.
