well i am back with my another creative day but this time i didnāt cook but⦠BAKE šš©āš³
I baked a cake today for the very first time in my life. I watched a recipe on YouTube and followed it to bake a cake. I also took some help from my cousin because she is a pro at baking cakes. Now, let me tell you all how I made the cake.
At first Lets discuss the ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
FOR CAKE DOUGH
ā¢All purpose Flour
ā¢Cocoa powder
ā¢Baking powder
ā¢Egg
ā¢Milk
ā¢Icing sugar
ā¢Vanilla essence
ā¢Cooking oil
ā¢Minor amount of Salt
FOR LAYERING
ā¢Whipping cream
ā¢Icing sugar
ā¢Cocoa powder
FOR TOPPING
ā¢Butter
ā¢Dairy milk or any chocolate
PROCESS
First, I took out a spacious bowl so that I could prepare the mixture properly. I started by mixing the dry ingredients in the bowl. The primary dry ingredient is all-purpose flour, to which I added other dry ingredients. Next, I added cocoa powder and baking powder to the flour. After that, I added icing sugar and a pinch of salt, and mixed everything well.
Then, I added an egg to the mixture and mixed it thoroughly. After that, I poured in milk and cooking oil and whisked it all together until well combined.I added some amount of vanilla essence too. And thatās how our mixture was ready.
Then, I took a baking pan and applied cooking oil to the base so that the cake wouldn't stick to the pan. Then i placed a butter paper on it. After that, I poured the mixture into a baking pan and placed it in the oven to bake at the required temperature. I covered the mixture with aluminium foil sheet.
I kept checking it periodically to ensure it was baking properly.
Once it was fully cooked through, I took it out of the oven.
After that, I needed to prepare the ganache, so I took whipping cream and started beating it with a beater. If I had continued to beat it like that, it would never have thickened. First, I took a bowl filled with ice and placed another bowl on top of it, in which I was to beat the cream, so that the base of the bowl stayed cold and the cream thickened quickly. Meanwhile, I kept adding cocoa powder to the cream along with the proper amount of sugar. Once the cream reached the desired consistency, I stopped beating it.
After that, I took the cake out onto a large plate and started with the layering and topping. I cut the cake horizontally into two parts and set the top layer aside. On the bottom layer, I first applied a bit of oil, then spread the whipped cream mixture on top. After that, I sprinkled chocolate chips over it. Then, I placed the second layer of the cake on top and repeated the same procedure.
Finally, I gave the cake an even look.Ta-Da..š„®
It was utterly butterly delicious. The kids at home were very happy with my baking skills. I promised them that I would definitely make it again for them, and I really enjoyed baking. I have decided to continue this hobby and improve my baking skills.
