Hey Everyone, I hope you are all fine and doing great. This post is my entry for the weekly featured content in the #Hivelearners community. Today's topic to write about is Sugar Is Bad
Diabetes is a disease that slowly kills you; in my opinion, it is the most dangerous disease in the world. There are two main reasons for this disease: the first reason is high sugar intake, and the second reason is the worries and stress that come into our lives. By consuming too much sugar, we fall victim to a deadly disease like diabetes, and then worries worsen this disease, causing us to lose our lives. I have seen many cases in my life where people have died because of diabetes.
My mom also passed away due to high diabetes. Losing my mother is enough for me to stay away from something like sugar. I used to love eating sweets and would always wait for an opportunity.
But some incidents in your life force you to stay away from your favourite things, and my mother’s passing was such an incident for me. It has made me very cautious about sweets. Eating too many sweets doesn't just have the risk of diabetes; there are many other disadvantages too, such as tooth decay, persistent leg pain, and so on.
As for home, my wife takes special care to ensure that our sugar intake remains low. I used to add a lot of sugar to my tea, but now I drink it without sugar. I know this change will be beneficial for me in the future.
Natural fruits are something that, despite being sweet, are less dangerous for you. So now I make an effort always to have fruits available at home, so anyone who craves something sweet can eat fruit instead of sugar. And I have to take care of this because my father is also a diabetes patient. The more doctors advise him against eating sweets, the more he craves them. He even sneaks sweets without us knowing.
Despite all the care we take, my father still manages to eat sugar, which causes severe pain in his legs and feet the next day, and he has to endure it. I've noticed one thing in life: the more a person loves something, the more fate keeps them away from it.
My request to everyone is to reduce your sugar intake as much as possible. It is better for your current health and also beneficial for your future life.
