It's been a while, Hive Learners! I can't remember the last time I joined HL's weekly featured contest. The main reason is that I have been more into travel blogs recently, but most of the time, I couldn't catch the deadline as each topic usually takes two days to be submitted. I've been reading blogs about gaining and losing weight featured by the community, so why not give it a try since I have no travel blogs to write about.
Weight Gain or Weight Loss? (hl-w66e1)
While many ladies want to shed pounds, I want to add more. That was my response to the WE136 topic not so long ago regarding body weight. I just recently checked my BMI to see how my lifestyle was going. Am I doing the right thing, or not? So far, so good, the result is normal compared to Mild Thinness five months ago.
From 47.5 kg last January to 50.3 kg now. Imagine taking that long to gain weight. This is the struggle part of my life, and I was grateful upon seeing additional pounds to my weight. It makes me motivated to continue this a bit healthy lifestyle. I should call it a bit because holidays are my cheat days, lol.

I've been changing my diet recently to lessen my gluten intake while trying to gain weight. It always fluctuates, actually. But after years of getting under fifty kilograms, it's my first time seeing my weight cross over fifty, even by just a few pounds. That means my diet is effective.
If you still remember my response to one of the Hive Learners' featured topics, I answered Fit Mind, Fit Body. You can't achieve a goal without self-discipline, consistency, and a positive mindset.
How did I gain weight?
Eat more, of course, that's the simplest answer. But I can't just eat anything without minding my food intolerances. I was cutting my animal meat intake before, but I realized that I'd just continue losing weight if I cut it out of my diet. Protein alternatives aren't working either. So instead of cutting meat, I'm cutting off my gluten intake.
Have you ever tried eating unseasoned meat? There will be no soy sauce or gluten. I am currently on a fresh and no-gluten diet. My meat is usually just seasoned with salt and herbs, rather than soy sauce, whether it is fried or steamed. I even appreciate the natural flavor more.
Eating more fruits and vegetables helps me get the right amount of fiber and other nutrients I need for my digestion, especially since my stomach is sensitive sometimes.
I go for healthy snacks, rather than buying them in supermarkets or fast food. Although sometimes I eat bread that contains gluten, I make sure to eat more fiber to easily digest the food.
Exercise is still part of my lifestyle to be physically fit. Together with a balanced diet and a positive mind, I was able to gain pounds healthily. Although I fail sometimes, I'm trying my best to maintain this lifestyle until I achieve what I truly desire. We're not getting younger anymore, so we have to take care of our body.
Thanks for stopping by.
