So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week which is “TAX IS TAXING”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “RECYCLING PRACTICES”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about the recycling practices in their area. For some, there is a reliable system in place that handles this and makes recycling easy for everyone. While in others, the residents have to figure it out all on their own.
We got to see the amount of interest that members have paid to this. Knowing the value of recycling, many have come to value it because it’s economical and for others, it’s a means of making some money. This is a culture that needs to be more widespread. It was an enlightening topic indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w160e2 tag. For this author, recycling is a weekly ritual and one that people in her area take seriously. There is a reliable system for recycling waste and they all take full advantage of this. She sees recycling as a means to show our care for the environment and also raise awareness on the duties of individuals to their environment.
REDUCING WASTE: DOING MY PART TO HELP THE ENVIRONMENT
For this author, recycling is something that he has always been active in, right from when he was little. He even participated in some demonstrations and attended some events that were centered on it. So, this is something that he’s very passionate about. He does his best to reduce the waste that is produced in his home, and he makes use of upcycling and organic composting, showing that anything at all can have a second chance.
