Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 173, Edition 03 of our Weekly Featured Content.
Made With Canva
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week, which is “HUMAN TRAITS”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “ALL ABOUT THE ZOO”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their thoughts on taking animals from the wild where nature placed them, and putting them into confined places like the zoo. This is a subject that has raised ethical concerns, seeing as it could easily not be in the best interest of the animals.
We got to see how people felt about this. Some felt it was a necessary act that safeguarded wild animals, especially the endangered species. Others felt that it was unnecessary. All animals were meant to be in the wild, growing and fighting for themselves. However, putting them in cages affects the defense protocols that nature had infused in them. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w173e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.
Featured Contents
WILD ANIMALS AREN’T HERE FOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT by
This author told us that in her opinion, the idea that wild animals should be seen as a source of entertainment has to be discarded. They are beings like us who deserve to be treated better. She admits that the zoos play a huge role in taking care of animals, however it has to be done in a humane and honorable way. One that no animal would be exploited in any way at all.
For this author, he told us having animals in cages makes them nothing short of prisoners. Zoos and parks basically exploit the animals for profit, and because the animals can’t exactly refuse such treatment, it’s allowed to go on and on. He feels that nature should decide of every animal, no matter how harsh. Humans shouldn’t get to make that choice.
NATURAL INHABITANTS: WILDLIFE CHRONICLES
For this author, he told us that in today’s world, it can be hard to know who exactly the zoos and parks are created for. Is it for the benefit of the animals? Or is it for the profits of those who run the zoo? But then, he reminded us that the wild is a dangerous place for any creature within it, and in the end, it should be up to each animal to stay in it or leave it.
All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (

But then, we have some honorable mentions listed below:

Week 173 - Edition 03 Topic
HUMAN TRAITS
“Do people learn to be good/bad? Or are they simply born that way? We've seen great people come from dysfunctional homes, just as we've seen terrible people come from loving homes. Is there a blueprint for how not to have a bad child? Or how to make sure your child is a good person? Or is everything simply a toss of the dice? Please share with us.”
