Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 191, Edition 01 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the first topic for this week, which is “ONLINE FRIENDSHIPS”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “BEHAVIOURS”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us their thoughts on kids and the factors that determined what they grew up to be. Were good or bad habits inherited? Were they learned? Do these kids have a say in the kind of adults they grow up to be? These were the questions that were answered in the posts entered under this topic.
We got to see that indeed, many behaviours are learned. They could seem to be inherited due to how they’re similar to what the parents portrayed. But then, seeing their parents do that may also have been the exact way the kids picked up the habits. Many also believed that some behaviours are inherited, that no matter how things go, kids will always have the same habits as their parents. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w190e3; tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.
Featured Contents
WHAT WE INHERIT AND WHAT WE CHOOSE TO BE by
This author told us that our behaviours aren’t inherited, they’re constructed. Everything can’t be blamed on genes, and our behaviours are part of such things. Regardless of the things that happened in the past, how we allow them to affect us in the present is what matters the most. And that’s what determines the habits and behaviours. So, mainly, such things are learned.
BEHAVIORS: BORN WITH OR SHAPED BY LIFE by
For this author, she told us that genes only have a minimal effect on the behaviour of the child, everything is mainly learned. There are a lot of factors that help to shape the child, grooming and guiding him, whether intentional or not, towards a particular destination. The things we learn as children and how we choose to utilize those lessons in our lives help determine the habits and behaviours that we display.
For this author, he told us that a child’s behaviour is directly linked to their parents because the parents are the points of reference that they have for just about everything that goes on in their lives. They’re influenced by the people around them, and this shows in the behaviours and habits that they adopt when they become adults.
All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (

But then, we have some honorable mentions listed below:

AND NOW, WE MOVE ON TO THE NEW TOPIC!
Week 191 - Edition 01 Topic
“Can online friendships replace the need for face-to-face friendships? When you think of all the friends you've made online, how much you've shared with them, even though you have never met physically, how different would it have been if you had met offline instead? Is this better for the friendship dynamics?”
