So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week, which is “NEW YEAR, NEW PEOPLE”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “THE ART OF LISTENING”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us about the value of being a good listener and also having someone who listens to us. This is a skill that not everyone possesses, nor has the patience to practice, this is because choosing to be a good listener means letting someone else air out their grievances without you trying to infuse yours.
We got to see just how important it is to have people we trust around us who actually listen to the things we say. This is an underrated blessing because it can be hard to find someone who doesn’t make every little conversation about themselves. We need to learn to listen and not just hear the things that are said to us. It’s very important. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
