Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 216 Edition 03 of our Weekly Featured Content.
Made With Canva
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week, which is “GRADING SYSTEM”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “ALLOWANCE”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, sharing their thoughts on allowance with us. Giving kids money to be able to do certain things, and the effects of doing so or not doing so could have on them. Allowances have become a major part of our modern reality.
We got to see that, indeed, many support the idea of giving kids an allowance because no matter what, kids will always have needs. But then, it’s up to the parents to employ wisdom when doing this. In the end, it all boils down to the choices of the parents. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w216e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.
Featured Contents
GIVING KIDS ALLOWANCE: A PARENT’S TOOL FOR FINANCIAL EDUCATION by
For this author, he is a strong supporter of giving kids allowances. This is because it serves as a great source of financial education for the children, teaching them how to manage and leverage money from a young age. So, giving them is not enough; teaching them how to spend it is just as important.
*For this author, she told us that as long as the needs of the children are being met by the parents, then there is no need to give them an allowance. Children should earn the allowance, instead of just receiving it. That way, they’d know for sure that nothing in life comes easy, most especially money.”
RAISING MONEY-SMART KIDS: LESSONS IN RESPONSIBILITY, INDEPENDENCE, AND FINANCIAL GROWTH by
This author told us that he’s also a supporter of giving allowances to children, but it should be earned and based entirely on tasks. And this would be used to teach them the value of money, saving, and also what happens when one chooses to be led majorly by their greed for more money.
All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (
) ] and 1 $PANDAMINER each as a reward next Monday. These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all.
But then, we have some honorable mentions listed below:

AND NOW, WE MOVE ON TO THE NEW TOPIC!
Week 216 - Edition 03 Topic
GRADING SYSTEM
“In schools, we know that the education system has adopted several letters to serve as grades for the students. Will it be okay to scrap all that and simply use the pass/fail method without being explicit about how well or how badly the student passed or failed? Will this be better for student morale?”
