Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 105, Edition 01 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on our first topic for this week which is “TELL US ABOUT YESTERDAY”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “BRING IT BACK”. This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about the one thing they would love to bring back due to how important it was but somehow had managed to fade with the passage of time. It could be gadgets, it could be traits in people, or even trends.
We got to see the different things people would love to see once again, things that made childhood so much fun and made life much easier to live. Having such things would be great indeed. It was an interesting topic indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w104e3 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us about how many of us have gotten to rely on phones and computers for most of our social dealings. We prefer to communicate via screens than we do for face-to-face contact and this is affecting how we live our lives. We need to bring it back so we can bring balance when we moderate it with digital communications.
For this author, she told us about how she would love for the writing of letters by hand to become a thing again. Back then, it was something that held a lot of meaning because meaningful relationships were cultivated that way. It would do a lot in this digitalized world to have something that can remind us of how things used to be.
This author shared his thoughts about the exchange program being brought back for students. It was something that was really helpful back in the day for making education available to a lot of children who needed it. But today, due to the way things are in the country, the system has all but gone extinct. It would be great to have it back indeed.
