From last 6 to 7 days I was little busy in my Hometown. So I didn't get much time. And 1 more week I will be busy due to some functions in my family.
So in this hustle bustle schedule I prepared breafast that is so simple and can make in very less time. It is Sabudana Khichadi or sago in english it as known as tapioco pearls
It's has the ability to boost up the energy very fast. Here in India we people make this sago in the fasting period more. So it is fasting food.
When we keep fasting then we used to make this sago khichadi. We keep fasting on Navaratri, Ekadashi or other fasting days, then we used to make this sago khichadi.
So let's start to make this sago khicadi
Ingredients
Sago-1cup
Potato-½cup
Peanuts-2 tbspn
Capsicum-½cup
Cumin seeds-½tspn
Black pepper-½tbspn
Coriander leaves-1tbspn
Water-2cup
Lemon juice-1 tbspn
Method
1.In a bowl add sabudana and wash them nicely. Rub the sabudana well with fingers that all the starch went off.
2.Now in a bowl saok sabudana for overnight or 5 hours but donot put excess water.
When they are soaked they will absorb the water and they will be double in size.
3.Chopped the veggies in plate like capsicum, potatoes, and crush the peanuts.
4.Now in a pan heat oil and add cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
Then add curry leaves, green chili, capsicum & potato.
5.Then add crushed peanuts and it.Now Add salt.
6.Cooked the vegetables till they are tender.
7.Drain the sago before adding it to veggies.
8.add Sago and mix it properly.
9.Saute it for 3 to 4 mins on meduim flame.
10.Sago turns soft and transparent.
Now add some blackpepper and off the stove.
Add some lemon juice all over the sago khichadi and sprinkle.some coriander leaves.
11.Transfer the sabudana in a bowl. Donot leave the sabudana in a hot pan unless it will stick to the pan.
12.Serve it warm!
