Road trips are my absolute favorite, well then when the roads were safe to travel on. I know I have a post on road trip and why I loved all my road trip experiences. Also my new favorite transportation system is by air. Aside the fact that it is quite expensive, it is faster and more convenient. For me when traveling the shorter the time the better of it isn’t a fun road trip.
As a lover of road trips there is only one thing I love more than taking road trip and that is making trips in groups. The fun is next to none.
Now the 
I remember my service days, those days when I travelled frequently to and from Lagos to delta state or Edo state. I used commercial buses very often. On this particular experience, I remember boarding the bus, as usual I always loved to take sit by the window, in short I love window seats generally, it affords me the opportunity to make videos of what’s on the other side of the window and I absolutely love that I get to see and experience the journey and look out.
It was an eighteen seater bus and at first everyone was just chilled, doing their own thing, you know how the usual vibe is when you get in a vehicle with people you do not know. Well the driver insisted we say a prayer before we started, and someone was glad to do it. A few minutes into the journey the driver started out with gospel songs, we were feeling the solemn worship and all and then before we even noticed, the driver switched to old school jams, am talking way back old school , Blues, hip hop, RnB, name it, the drivers playlist was so cool. It got everyone in the mood, before we knew it we were all singing together, rapping together and just laughing and vibing with every new song that played from the drivers playlist. We talked about the artists, people shared their views and opinions, we laughed some more as we sang. It was a jolly good ride, we didn’t even know when we got to our destination, am so sure nobody slept on that ride because it was so much fun. The driver really made the trip fun and interesting. I dare say a drivers disposition has a lot to do with how jolly the ride will be or not.
This single experience is one I cannot forget in a hurry, although I know I may never get to experience such ever again but I cherish that memory and it makes me pick being in a commercial bus with people than riding alone.
I can imagine how boring it would be riding alone, and in my opinion riding alone isn’t safe, anything can happen, with no one to help or be an eye witness. If I have to take a private car I am definitely taking someone lively and fun with me. So for me it is team commercial bus with other passengers.
