I think I can only remember sleeping into the new year just once. However, this does in no way mean anyone is less or more of anything. I still feel that our national state influences this kind of thing. Or is it because we're much older?

Normally, I still use that time to send messages to my extended family, especially. And I understand the way you may think it's just another day, yes it is, but in the company of others, there is always something for each person to be grateful for.
