me after church service, you can see i needed some rest
Hi everyone, happy Sunday to you all here, I'm glad it's Sunday again, initially I didn't have anything posted for this creative Sunday, caused I thought I wouldn't have to prepare anything today.
.The stew I had in my freezer had finished the night before, and I was looking forward to Monday to make another pot, at least enough to last us for the entire week, and then I might cook something different within the week, just to make things easier. Because every home must have stew, whether, for spaghetti, rice, or yams, I and my family slept off after church because we do get up early on Sundays to prepare for church.
This is what happened I knew its always hard to get things to cook on a Sunday, so I didn't bother, cause we had rice that was shared in church, after giving that to the kids to eat after they woke up from sleep, then it dawns on me that I really don't have what to give my son to school tomorrow being Monday, so I quickly went into the kitchen and took out some tomatoes and pepper that I had previously, so with that I decided to make a quick low budget stew, you know how I said I can't get anything to buy in my area, thank God I have just the basic things I need any other addition would be bought tomorrow and added to the stew, but fo now, I decided to quickly serve my daughter a meal, cause she woke up while I was blending the pepper with my electric blender.
I prepared some spaghetti so she can eat, the fact is everybody ended up eating the spaghetti. so here's my low-budget stew and spaghetti.
PROCEDURES
First, I put some water in a pot and brought it to a boil, then I open my spaghetti and broke it into smaller sticks. The reason I do this is so that my one-year-old daughter can easily feed herself, cause she doesn't like me feeding her.
Next, I waited for some minutes until the spaghetti was ready within minutes, i brought down the pot and drained the water from the spaghetti in a sieve.
Next, I have my already blended pepper and tomatoes, and onion ready, I placed the pot I would be using on the gas and made any excess water from washing the pot dry up, then I poured the groundnut oil inside, I made it a little hot, before adding the tomatoes mixture.
(Normally I would use tomato paste and all protein, but I was able to get this anywhere here, our place is very remote, and I don't like walking at night)
So I made the tomatoes and pepper mixture cook for a while, I wanted the extra tomato water to dry up a bit, which it did and I went ahead and added the seasoning. (mind you,I will still be coming back to the stew tomorrow to add more protein, cause I only had one egg left in the house, I served my husband with that 😀, so that will not come and take it 😀)
AND THAT IT WAS FOR A LOW-BUDGET STEW AND SPAGHETTI, I DIDN'T HAVE TO STRESS MYSELF OVER IT.
