Greetings to you all, and I welcome you guys to youngmiliki's kitchen...... Today I will be teaching you guys how to prepare my traditional dishes vegetable okro soup with chicken, ice fish, dryfish and crayfish so sit back while I take on a ride to my kitchen😅😅✌️👍.
First I will to you tell you guys about okro.
-Okro is a flowing plant known for its edible seed pods and its sometimes referred to as lady's finger.
Okro is rich in nutrients and it aslo contains vitamin A,
vitamin C, vitamin K and vitamin B6.
-Ugu leaf also know as fluted pumpkins leaves, they are natural antioxidant, they contain s whole bunch of useful elements that can help the body protect itself from bacteria and viruses. The ugu leaves help to boost your immune system as they full of minerals and vitamins with other important elements
-chicken is a lean meat with high nutritional value, and eating it regularly will help you stay healthy because it supply high protein Wight-loss, healthy bones, stress-reliever and immunity boost.that is why I chose it on my cooking today
-ice fish/dryfish are filled with Omega-3 that contain fatty acids and vitamins such as D and B2. Fish is rich in calcium and phosphorus and a great source of minerals such as zinc, iodine, magnesium, and potassium. Our system all those to stay healthy.............
Ingredients for my traditional dish vegetable okro soup are as follows
1 okro 50-100 piece of fresh okro
2 ugu leaf also known as fluted pumpkins
3 800 grams of chickens
4 2-3 full fish
5 dryfish
6 crayfish
7 palm oil
8 pepper
9 onion
10 5-6 cubes seasoning
11 salt.
Preparation of my traditional dish vegetable okro soup.
Firstly wash your okro and ugu leaves and sliced them both and set aside, wash your chickens🍖🍗and both the fish🦈🦈/dryfish and set aside, wash your Onion and pepper before you slice the onion🧅 and then blend your pepper🌶️🌶️ then set it aside , after all of that is done.
Now you can start boiling your chickens fish and dryfish together to a high heats with your chopped onion🧅 and some seasoning with little salt to your tasty, you really need to season your chicken fish/dryfish very well as this will serve as your base of your vegetable okro, if your chicken and fish/dryfish is not well seasoned then your soup will not taste good, so you need to ensure you add your seasoning very well for a better taste, when the chickens are soft, transfer your chickens and fish into a bowl, leaving just the pot on the fire, add your Palm oil and leave it to heat, when it was heated enough you can now fry your okro for just 1minute, then you can now add your grinded crayfish and the pepper🌶️🌶️ that you have blended before, leave it to cooked for 3 more minutes , after leaving it to cook for 3 more minutes you can now add your ugu leaf which is the last ingredient for the making of your okro soup then allows it to just cook for 1 minute bomb vegetable okro is now ready ......... Best served with the following swallow
