"From where I am (Venezuela) my way of contributing to this Mexican species, would be to promote the knowledge of its existence, where they live, their benefits for the ecosystem, their vulnerability at this time, in danger of extinction and to make known the importance of preserving our environments, sea, land, air, because everything is a chain, to continue keeping them alive on our planet. As I am doing right now, by joining this praiseworthy initiative, so that many more people are aware and informed of this problem, in order to do my bit for its preservation and survival"

"What conservation plan would you design to save the vaquita porpoise?... Incorporate researchers in biotechnological techniques such as embryo culture to try to improve the reproduction of the species. Genetic resource banks allow the storage of frozen semen, eggs and embryos, as well as other tissues. The main advantage of such banks is that they make it possible to maintain the genetic variability of a species almost indefinitely. Thus, the semen of the males stored in these banks can be used for many years after the death of the animal (Gomendio, et al, 2006)"
