Day #61 and I am ALive On the #HiveBlockchain and I #ThriveOnHive in the #IAmAliveChallenge and invite you to come and say #HiToHive and #Hive5 to us.
So I'm making my daily blog more meaningful, significant and supportive to the world at large, as this is the potential that the HiveBlockchain has, and that is to reach out to all corners of the globe to share our passions and purposes in life, whatever they may be and in doing so, create awareness of the issues that are affecting every one on the #HiveBlockChain and in #PeakD and I hope that you will join me in doing the same.
To recognise your heroes, whoever they may be, whatever they may do. Whether they are someone dear to your heart- with us here in life still, or surround you in spirit.
Whether they be your local public toilet cleaner or garbage collector, someone that you admire greatly here on the Hive, Someone that you greatly value from afar, or someone that gives their time and dedication to help, support, care for a single person or a whole community.
The every day person, that does extraordinary things without thought.
So tonight, I would like you to #MeetMyhero- an extraordinary woman by the name of #TraceySawyer, whom I met years ago as I was interviewing her about her completely upending her life to move from Melbourne to Longido in Tanzania after a chance meeting and then creating a project to help the Masai get clean drinking water to the village wells.
Tracey helps advocate, educate and empower the women and children- and even the men of all of the surrounding villages and with her friends over there, has since made these great achievements.
12,500 Masai have access to clean drinking water
37 subvillages in Masai land in Tanzania have been trained in permaculture techniques
700 Masai women and men have learnt how to grow their own food for the first time and are eating and selling their home grown produce
584 school students from four primary and secondary schools have been trained and are now growing, harvesting and eating the produce from their Testigo school gardens
6 villages now have household dams for rainwater collection
100 Masai women and men are now engaged in rural chicken breeding
100 Masai women and men have learned Swahili and English through our adult school
10 Masai women are making and selling beaded jewellery for export to the US
So without further ado, here she in with her Masai family here https://testigoafrica.org
And from the #Education Community I'd also like you to #MeetMyHero (my other Hero...lol...- I have MANY....π..) in the #HiveBlockchain tonight and his name is -
with his Introducing - Mukono Tennis Sport Academy and you can check out the excellent introduction to him and his gorgeous pupils in Uganda here @m-tennis-academy/introducing-mukono-tennis-sport-academy and it sounds like
had his own #MeetMyHero with his dearly departed dad The tennis sport skill was passed on to me by my late dad βEric Ofuyuruβ who was a tennis legend in this nation. It was so unfortunate that he passed on at an early age. Before his death, he wished that I follow in his footsteps by becoming a tennis coach in order to be able to build on his tennis sports legacy in the country. This is also one of my core inspiration and motivation to run such a charitable tennis academy initiative.
And , It was so fantastic to speak to you on Discord A couple of weeks ago with @AchimMertens from #Germany and @BasilMarples from the #UnitedKindgom to talk about getting the charity community and charDapp up and running.
AND now I know that you play tennis too, as soon as the world opens it's doors again, I'll be seeing you in Uganda with MY tennis Racquets strapped on too and then I can help you coach the kids as I used to play and coach kids too. How much fun would we all have! ππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππ
has also written another wonderful blog about Raising up tennis players and fans in my local community and if you check out this one blog, you will know why he's my new hero @m-tennis-academy/raising-up-tennis-players-and-fans-in-my-local-community
So, I've shown you mine, so now please share yours with us too- #WhoIsYourHero we'd all love to meet them and thank them for doing whatever they did to become your hero.
So I look forward to meeting your hero and until then, please be safe and well, and look after your family and friends as good as you look after #MotherEarth and all of her furry, scaley, hairy, feathery, wiry, soggy, slimy, tiny, enormous, hooved, clawed, webbed and padded footed children too!

Anyway, if it wasn't for the brilliant idea and the continual efforts of @ErikGussafson known far and wide as @Flaxz who created the #IamAliveChallenge community for all of us around the world to come together to celebrate our victories and commiserate with each other in our losses and share the love, the I wouldn't be here at all and neither would you!
So if you want to know more about this warm and compassionate community then read more here @flaxz/glmrrjya and you're welcome to join in and share your stories, fears, dreams, successes and failures with all of us.
