Two hours before the event, my cousin and I went first to Mcdonald's. Although I broke my budget for being an early bird, I still attempt to do productive things. I can't still believe that the price of this iced coffee cost me for already worth more than $1. Don't get me wrong, I love this coffee since its taste is worth it. However, my wallet doesn't appreciate its price. I didn't want to waste time, so I took out my phone and edited a video for our PE subject. The church in the photo's background, by the way, is the meeting place before the parade begins. It's funny how I can still recall all these details from last month😂!
As I waited for my classmates, I took the opportunity to observe the church's overview. Although I am not a Catholic, I had the chance to stay outside since joining the mass would go against my religious beliefs. Luckily, I saw my classmates, who were also non-Catholic, cross the street to join us. While waiting, I conversed with one of my talkative classmates and discussed anything related to academics. Her companionship helped alleviate my boredom and made the wait more enjoyable.
I asked my friend's permission to use this photo. So, I hope this will not cause a misunderstanding. I'm the guy who wears a black mask, and I just realized how small it was. A few students are also waiting outside; I bet some don't like attending the mass.
When I snapped this photo, the clock struck from 9:00 AM onwards. I experienced intense heat radiating from the sun could easily scorch my skin. It is the effect of climate change, bruh. Those girls with me didn't bring their umbrellas. Meanwhile, I got my jacket since I knew it would happen. The crowd looks unorganized and a bit messy. However, I understood that the facilitators did their best to handle us.
And finally, the parade begins. I didn't expect the large crowd volume since I thought only a few would participate. I guess it was the power of incentives directly to the card results, though. I remember telling my cousin that I only participated in this program for incentives and attendance.
Here is what it looked like while we were walking, though. I noticed that we almost occupied the whole lane, and it caused light inconvenience for the riders and commuters. While others were enjoying their stroll and taking pictures with their friends, I was preoccupied with capturing moments of the event through my camera lens.
Then out of nowhere, we passed through this Korean Merchandise Store playing "After Like" by IVE on a flat-screen television. I remember screaming internally when Gaeul sang her iconic part, which made me think, "I knew this song. It deserved to be heard by my schoolmates." I thought someone was bold enough to perform it in the parade, but I'm disappointed since nobody minded it. It seems like they were not K-Pop fans. Well, let's manage our own business.
Of course, would we forget to take our photos? As you can see, I'm on the right, while my cousin is on the left. I humorously asked him why he still brought a bag, although he knew we would not have classes. Good thing I always get a jacket every time I go to school, so I don't need to bring an umbrella. It may seem odd to wear a jacket in warm weather (my classmates are teasing it), but the benefit is worth it.
While enjoying the stroll, I couldn't help to feel thirsty and exhausted. I feel like we were walking through hell, although the mere fact is that we were not yet getting to the middle. Even though we caused a bit of traffic, the most important thing was that my classmates and I had a blast. It was an enjoyable experience we'd surely cherish for a long time.
We also passed through these establishments, and I think I already featured them in my blog before. I can't believe that it already happened a few months ago. Time flies so fast! While walking, I couldn't help to ask my cousin if he had already entered this market, and he immediately replied, "No!"
Fast forward, we have already reached the PAG-ASA Gym, where we'll watch the programs they prepared. I had so much from this day I gathered a lot of photos. I want to write it in a single blog, including what I ate and whatsoever. However, I knew it would take about 20 minutes of reading time. Thank you for reading. See you in the next part!
