Greetings Hive! It's the day after Christmas. I am still hyped because I still have a lot of photos to edit from yesterday's celebration. Our local church had an anniversary event and Christmas party so I have hundreds of photos and videos to edit but I need to post a new blog today because I have been MIA for more than three days.
I will share this lovely restaurant with you again. I had featured this before but it was still pretty new then. On our second visit, the resto-bar was pretty well known already and they had made several improvements to their interiors so I will cover that on this blog too.
It was in the first quarter of this year that I first visited Cwall Restobar. On that blog, I commended them for their good food and really nice spot to chill as the restaurant is located right next to the shore, in fact, its name is called Cwall as it is sitting on top of a sea wall.
This time around, I was with my family, my parents, and my siblings. We were coming from Tagbilaran City and we decided to stop here for dinner. While it was lunchtime when my husband and I visited it the first time, this time around, it's evening and so the ambiance is different.
Let me also mention that every single time that we pass by Cwall, we noticed that there are many customers now, there are cars parked outside, and many diners inside. Unlike back in January when it was not that populated. I guess they had made their name known now.
Also, there's a whale shark watching nearby, I guess that's one of the reasons as well.
But more importantly, I am going to highlight the art that's alive in Cwall in this blog entry. Let's start with the main restaurant because they also have a bar at the back.
As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the staff at the counter. The art here is impressive! I was drawn to the blue whale painted on the counter's wall so I sat on one of the chairs first and took photos while I let my siblings and parents look for a table.
They now have finished the painting at the back too with the beach sunset or sunrise view. It's really pretty! I asked the staff if the owner is an artist because the restaurant is filled with artwork but he said they had hired someone to paint the restaurant actually.
On this side as well, I remember that it was just plain blue back in January, now, it's already filled with sea creatures! I surely adore the turtle at the side but this coral reef and sardines run surely are also captivating! Plus, this is a good spot for a photo opportunity! Any visitor will surely want to get their photos taken on this side!
This is how it looked from a wider angle! Some new customers arrived while I was taking this photo. There are rooms as well next to the counter and I saw some of its walls were having leaf paintings too!
My parents informed me they found a table in the bar area which is located at the back of the establishment. I walked towards them and here, the ambiance is really rustic. I forgot if I had featured this on the previous blog though.
I was caught by these bamboo things hanging on the roof. When I saw them, I thought they were rainmakers! There were marbles inserted into the bamboo.
The counter here is made of a cut tree bark! I super adore it! They also used a branch of a tree and added lights to it. It's quite impressive!
Now here comes the comfort room! Our table was just next to this area and I was stunned! I super love the autos flower painting on the wall but I must admit the bamboo wall is much more beautiful! They used young bamboo twigs here, place them neatly then varnished them! The sink even has an old water clay container! and the sink is also made of clay!
I asked my brother and his family to sit there so I could take a photo. There's a bench placed there too and I guess it's strategically done so customers can take photos here. The ground is filled with stones, good strategy to keep this from wetting as it is next to the sink!
While waiting for our orders, I decided to go around and check the other areas of the resto-bar. I noticed the sink again! They also placed high chairs here for those who want to have a view of the ocean while enjoying their meals or drinks. There's a rocking chair too behind this sink.
I went further and there's a covered area right on top of the sea wall. They had used native materials here like this weaved amakan!
Here's a gazebo with wooded tables and chairs and some white cloth to keep it cozy. I super like the lights hanging at the center! They used baskets and other weaved amakan materials here! Super creative!
After a while, I was called by my brother as our food was already served. I headed to our table to take photos. We ordered a few viands like fried chicken for the kids, pork sisig, pancit guisado, fish kinilaw or ceviche.
Just like before, we were still satisfied with their food. I even ordered some milk tea afterward but I guess they have to improve on their milk teas. Anyway, after paying, on our way out, we found some products displayed in this crate stand. My mother couldn't help but get some items and bought them.
It was time to go home! This resto-bar is highly recommended especially to those who are traveling on the way to Tagbilaran City. In fact, most of their customers are those who are passing by.
Thanks for reading!
