My eyes were still sore as I slept late last night. I got engrossed in hanging out with my fellow members in Hiveph discord until I realized it's already midnight. As much as I wanted to sleep I got up on my bed as today is my flight back home. Yes, I took a week's vacation at work at last!
My boarding time is 08:40 AM. I leave home at five. I don't like to rush. I arrived at the Ninoy Aquino Terminal Airport at quarter to six only but there were already long queues of passengers.
The validation process is no longer stern, unlike the last time I went home in mid-year of the pandemic as there were some travel documents to be presented.
Now, just a copy of your ticket itinerary plus valid ID.
The airport also provided these just in case you prefer self check in online. You can even print your baggage tags. It was user friendly and you only needed to finish a few steps.
I opt to print my baggage tags so that I will only drop my luggage for check in.
Most of the time I hate crowded places but this time seeing a lot of passengers, standing in long lines waiting for my turn makes me happy. Why? Simple because this means the world is already going back to normal. No more restrictions and people are no longer afraid to go out. It took me almost an hour before I completed my transaction as the lady before me exceeded her baggage limit yet she is appealing to the airport staff. She was even mad as if it was the lady ( the airport staff fault).I am already in torn to butt in their conversation as she is already causing a delay, yet I choose not to. I am too happy to mind this kind of stuff.
I boarded the plane and there was no delay and in what stated in the schedule. The weather was fine as I look at the bright sky which I am thankful as the other day it was raining so hard and goes with thunderstorm.
As the plane was taking off, you can see the congested city.
I tried to take the full view but I was sitting near the airplane's wings.
The moment I leaned my back on the seat I fell asleep. I don't know how long but I was awakened when the flight stewardess spoke to facilitate a short game. I just listen as I don't have a plan to join while resting my head in the window. I could no longer sleep, and couldn't find a comfortable position. I just get myself busy staring at the aerial view.
Seemed we had already traveled a little bit far as the view was too far from the city. No more congested buildings or even polluted air. The sky was blue and all I could see down there was green. Beautiful mountains and hills and clouds that look like cotton candies.
Since I was a kid I was fascinated with clouds and I always stared at them. I always think about what it feels like touching those. I was even planning to try skydiving perhaps? However it is such an expensive hobby that I could not afford. Anyone here who is at it? How much does it cost? Diving from the plane was not a good idea either so better satisfy myself staring at it the first while I am still at the plane. At least I was too close to it. Oh, other than that I go hiking sometime in summer and one of the tourist attractions was the sea of clouds. Just to experienced that clouds. You can check it here.
After passing some provinces, here is now the scenic view which was an indicator that we almost reached our destination.
I was right as after a view moments the captain announced that we are about to land at Iloilo City - the city of LOVE
Thank you for flying with me.
From the airport I still need to travel about an hour going to the port as my hometown is an island. Yes, I still need to ride in a fast craft/ship to reach home. I will be sharing the next few days the beauty of my place so stay tuned.
Hello everyone and this is my entry in sir Wednesday walk.
