Last saturday night, we went out. My sister's boyfriend invited us to go eat at one of the mini cafe nearby. I don't know what restaurant it was since I am not familiar with this area, though this place is just near my hometown.
We were supposed to be watching a basketball game on the municipal court. It was a game fight between each barangay; that was the Sangguniang Kabataan's idea, and I'm glad that our mayor allowed it. But we couldn't go because we were too lazy to go out due to the weather, so my sister's boyfriend just invited us to go eat in the mini cafe nearby.
We rode a motorcycle to go there. And it was my first time to go in a not very familiar place of this town so sad because I can't take pictures while riding a motorcycle.
When we arrived, the same things that what you can see in their fb page (which is I didn't know that this cafe is famous here in this town) is what I exactly saw in when we arrived. It's not expectation versus reality like what I've experienced in some tourist places before.
I really like the design of this cafe. It just looks like a house. And if you will go inside to order and eat, you will feel like you are at home, and many people will serve you. Lol
Their ceiling looks very simple, yet it also has an expensive look, and you can also see the other customers outside in the window. That place or spot in this cafe is very nice for a couple's date. And you can also read a book that is displayed on the wall while waiting for your order or while drinking coffee.
If we will talk about the pricing of their food, it was not so expensive for rich people, but for me, the costs are so expensive since I am living as a poor person only. Haha
So I just let my sister decide on my food, but for the coffee, I chose the cafe latte.
The first that they served was the beverage. I was so very excited to drink it, so I took a picture after I tasted it, and their coffee was good. It's too bitter, but I liked it.
Then finally! After how many minutes of waiting, the food is finally served, and I was stunned to speak when my sister chose their baby back ribs for me.
Honestly, I am not a fan of rich people's food. I mean, I don't know why, but when I attended a wedding of my mother's cousin, I was one of the bride's maids back then. The husband of my mom's cousin is rich, and so the venue after the wedding is for rich people too. The food that they served is I don't understand it. It's also like this: There are vegetables on the side, meat, and a salad on the other side, too. and other foods that I don't understand. But when I tasted it, I didn't like the taste; but for them, when I look at the other guests, it was good, and after two spoons of taste, they are finally full. Like how?
Anyway, when I tasted the food, the baby back ribs tasted sweet. However, when you eat it together with their rice and vegetable. It was good. But I didn't finished them all.
After we were done eating, we decided to go home. And when we finally get home, there's this feeling that I've neglected since last week. Last week, it was still okay. I mean, it's just a little hurt in the middle of my chest, and I also noticed that I am easy to get tired. But like I said, I neglected it.
But yesterday, I told my sister about it when it was hard to breathe and my chest hurt a little bit when I touched it. My sister's boyfriend told me that this feeling is a sign of heartburn. But I am not convinced. So they told me to go today for a checkup to make sure.
So today, we went to the nearest hospital. My older sister accompanied me to the checkup. We rode a tricycle to go there, and when we get there, there are some people waiting for their turn too, but I am glad because the other people are done and just waiting, so it's finally my turn.
I went to fill up some info and told honestly what I felt during the first week that I noticed this and until yesterday. I thought it was my bone problem, but it was not. Because the nurse told me that all the things that I told her were a sign of heartburn, but of course, she told me to go for a test to make sure.
And after a lot of tests, the nurse and the doctor told me that it was heartburn. So they give me two medicines to chew.
And what I didn't expect is when the nurse arrived together with a familiar small storage basket with cotton balls and an injection. My gosh! I almost passed out because of this. I am not prepared! But still, I just closed my eyes and called all the saints above because I was scared of the injection.
I thought it was just in the left side, but again, they also injected me in the right side, and I was weakened afterwards because I really hate injections.
After those injections, the doctor told me that I needed to go to bed early because they also monitored that I only slept for 4 hours. They also told me to stop drinking coffee, soft drinks, and juice. They also told me to stop eating sweet and sour foods.
I remembered that I always ate some sweet food and sometimes drank coffee in the middle of the night, which is why I didn't notice that it became a hobby of mine.
As of now, I didn't have a choice but to go to sleep early at 9 p.m. every night (because that's my curfew time) for 1 week. No coffee, no juice, just water, and eat food at the right time. I also have medicine to take again at 6 a.m., 11 a.m., and 6 p.m.
And I think I am living in hell right now.
A FRIENDLY REMINDER...
To all who can read this blog of mine: Please, guys, take care of your health. Don't eat too much junk food and sweets. Sleep early too. Drink water always, and don't drink coffee and soft drinks all the time. Take care of your health if you don't want to end up like me. If I didn't told this early in my sister, I think I will be in the coffin already. Haha
I deserved this because I was so stubborn, but now I've learned my lesson. So this is all for today. Take care!
