I was running out of sources to draw, which makes me facing my unfinished WIPs inevitable. But! I remembered one of my drawings, Behind this Glass, thought to search for its reference, and found milomilo_official, who I found out was also the makeup artist for the reference I had of Cherry on Top.
Aaand, it turns out that it was part of a series of birthday photo shoots, so you can say this is the "sequel" of Cherry on Top. You can find the source here.
Drawing Muffin on Top
I did enjoy drawing the muffin with cherry on top previously, so I didn't hesitate to try my hand on a related photo. This time, the muffin with cherry on top is on top... of the model's head.
I chose the reference photo because of the model's grin -- it was definitely full of sass. Hahaha. I truly enjoyed her expression in Cherry on Top, and this one's not any different.
Drawing it had been much like how I drew Cherry on Top, except that I took my time in this one. I played around a lot with the colors, and used the color picker a lot more frequently than I did in all my earlier drawings combined. I had no way to properly blend the colors especially for the skin (IDK if it's better in the MediBang desktop version), so I had to improvise.
I also played around a lot with the opacity of the watercolor brush and hoped so bad that the highlights wouldn't fail me. Haha.
The muffin with cherry on top has been a treat drawing. The liner, most especially. It isn't as nice as I previously did, though, but it still landed my favorite spot in the drawing.
Finally, my other favorite part to paint here is her face! I couldn't quite capture her eye smile (which was so cute), but I think I did capture the all-knowing tilt in her smile.

Notes
I realize that whenever I choose feel good references, I actually feel good after drawing them, too. I think that's why I liked beige. And yellow. And a lot of light. They scream good vibes, and I appreciate it.
