The human face includes many details that at first glance do not seem complex, however, when we have to capture these elements on a sheet of paper, they become totally complex for us in relation to the understanding of the shape and the resolution of the drawing...
This is the case of the nose and ears.
When we start drawing portraits, the nose is what usually complicates our life the most. For a normal person, drawing a nose implies drawing lines only in the bridge and in the nostrils (this will depend on the angle where the nose is appreciated).
In synthesis, yes, when drawing the sketch this is what it basically comprises, however, when it comes to shading, we must be very careful and put a lot of detail in the volume that it has.
I was take as references noses from all over the world, that is, noses of Indian, Turkish, American people... both men and women. I think it is the most advisable when practicing anatomy, because no body is the same.
As for the ears, its structure is not so complex to understand and draw, because it has outstanding volumes that are easy to capture with lines on paper and then apply shadows according to the place that deserves it.
Unfortunately for me, when I was eliminating some small details on the sheet with the eraser, the sheet accidentally bent and left a very ugly mark. I tried to pass over the sheet of paper with a clothes iron, but I made the situation worse, because the sheet became much more wavy...
Well... This was my post today, I hope you liked it, I continue practicing and improving every time in my anatomy sketches. If you have any tips, feel free to leave them in the comments.
