Sabias que la mejor manera o la vía más rápida para jugar ajedrez es practicando los finales de partida. Aquí reseño lo que pensaba José Raul Capablanca (campeón mundial de ajedrez de 1921 a 1927): "Con el fin de mejorar tu juego, debes de estudiar los finales en primer lugar, ya que mientras que los finales pueden ser estudiados y dominados por sí mismos, el medio juego y la apertura deben de ser estudiados en relación con los finales".

Para aquellas personas que se están iniciando en el ajedrez es aconsejable primero resolver problemas de Mate en uno y Mate en dos. Por tal motivo, colocaré ejercicios que les ayudará a comprender el maravilloso mundo del ajedrez.

Rey Ahogado / Drowned King
Conocer el Rey ahogado es de suma importancia para quienes se inician. Hay dos motivos principales: Si el jugador tiene desventaja material (número de piezas) o comprometida su posición, además con posibilidades de ser ahogado por el oponente, le combiene quedar empatado en el juego. El otro motivo es tener práctica suficiente y visualización de la posición para no ahogar al Rey contrario que esté en posición de desventaja y de material. Claramente se nota los dos casos cuando se ahoga a un Rey, beneficio para el que está en desventaja y mala jugada para el que está en situación superior.
Knowing the Drowned King is of utmost importance for beginners. There are two main reasons: If the player has a material disadvantage (number of pieces) or his position is compromised, in addition to the possibility of being choked by the opponent, it is good for him to be tied in the game. The other reason is to have enough practice and visualization of the position not to choke the opponent's King who is in a disadvantageous position and material. Clearly you can see both cases when you choke a King, benefit for the one who is at a disadvantage and bad move for the one who is in a superior situation.
