Desde que vi por primera vez Slam Dunk, que lo ame, literalmente lo ame en conjunto a todos sus personajes.
Ever since I first saw Slam Dunk, I loved it, I literally loved it and all of its characters.
Me ponía nerviosa en los partidos y hasta me sentaba frente al televisor con dos botellas vacías para hacer barra. Y es que para mi el talentoso Hanamichi Sakuragui era el mejor de todos, inclusive pasando por sobre Kaede Rukawa.
I got nervous during the games and even sat in front of the TV with two empty bottles to cheer them on. For me, the talented Hanamichi Sakuragui was the best of them all, even better than Kaede Rukawa.
Cuando terminó la temporada, por largos años esperé saber que ocurriría en las nacionales, hasta creaba hipótesis en mi cabeza y me comía las uñas por querer saber un poco más en la realidad y no en lo ficticio de mi cabeza.
When the season ended, I waited for years to find out what would happen in the national championships. I even came up with theories in my head and bit my nails, wanting to know a little more about reality and not just the fiction in my head.

Esta película de producida por “Toei Animations” y escrita y dirigida por “Takeiko Inoue” se lanzó el 3 de diciembre de 2022 sin embargo a latinoamérica nos tocó esperar un poco más para poder disfrutarla.
En Chile, se estrenó meses después, siendo exactamente el 3 de agosto de 2023.

La película en sí continúa la trama posterior a que Shohoku pasará a las nacionales. En esta entrega podemos disfrutar como es que Shohoku se enfrenta a los poderosos jugadores de “Sannoh Kogyo”.
Este equipo, se jacta de ser el más fuerte de todo Japón, lo cual representa un claro desafío para Sakuragi y compañía.
The film itself continues the story after Shohoku advances to the national tournament. In this installment, we can enjoy watching Shohoku face off against the powerful players of "Sannoh Kogyo."
This team boasts of being the strongest in all of Japan, which represents a clear challenge for Sakuragi and company.
En medio del partido, podemos disfrutar las nuevas técnicas de Sakuragi, el apoyo que recibe por parte de Haruko Akagi, su amor imposible, siente emoción y superación, además de reafirmar de que es todo un “talentoso”.

No obstante la película gira en gran parte a la historia del número 7, Ryota Miyagi. En medio de la trama logramos entender cuál fue el motivo de su carácter rebelde y también nos enseña pasajes dentro del mismo anime.

En la película, podemos disfrutar de toda la emoción, las jugadas espléndidas, el apoyo de equipo, hasta podemos sentir el sudor que cada jugador despide tratando de conseguir los ansiados puntos.

Lo único que me hubiese gustado, es que la animación hubiese sido la misma que la del anime, ya que en la película se ve bastante distinta y en ocasiones se siente que la esencia de los personajes se pierde, sin embargo, esto ocurre solo en los primeros episodios minutos.
The only thing I would have liked is for the animation to have been the same as in the anime, since it looks quite different in the movie and at times it feels like the essence of the characters is lost. However, this only happens in the first few minutes of the episodes.
Además de eso, por fin podemos disfrutar de ese choque de palmas de los archienemigos Sakuragi Rukawa luego de colaborar juntos para obtener la victoria.
De este se puede sentir que se cierra un ciclo de nuestra infancia y adolescencia dejando un sinsabor de querer mucho más.
In addition to that, we can finally enjoy the clash of palms between arch-enemies Sakuragi and Rukawa after they collaborate to achieve victory.

Cuando estaba cursando mi último año de primaria, en clase de deportes, nos pidieron hacer una carpeta sobre algún deporte.
En ese tiempo, no era común tener Internet en las casas y había que ir a los cibercafé.
Cuándo fui al cibercafé, estaba lleno y no pude ingresar, me fui a casa pensando en que haría. Al llegar a casa me puse ver mi anime “Slam Dunk” y ahí estaba mi solución, dentro del capítulo que vi, tomé varios apuntes, desarrolle mi trabajo en Slam Dunk y hasta hice los dibujos, eran todos los personajes de Shohoku y en las partes de ¿Sabías qué? Hice un personaje bastante similar al “Dr Slam”.
When I was in my last year of elementary school, in gym class, we were asked to make a folder about a sport.
At that time, it was not common to have Internet at home, so we had to go to Internet cafes.
When I went to the Internet cafe, it was full and I couldn't get in, so I went home thinking about what to do. When I got home, I started watching my anime "Slam Dunk," and there was my solution. In the episode I watched, I took several notes, developed my project on Slam Dunk, and even did the drawings. They were all the characters from Shohoku, and in the "Did you know?" sections, I made a character quite similar to "Dr. Slam."
Mi carpeta tuvo la nota máxima, la cual en Chile es un 7.0, el profesor quedó asombrado, ya que mi trabajo era completa investigación y había anotado todo lo que había entendido sin copiar citas.
Si supiera que mi trabajo salió de un anime y fue inspirado por el gran y talentoso Hanamichi Sakuragi.
My portfolio received the highest grade, which in Chile is a 7.0. The professor was amazed, as my work was completely original research and I had written down everything I had understood without copying any quotes.
If only he knew that my work came from an anime and was inspired by the great and talented Hanamichi Sakuragi.
Personajes/Characters
Takenori Akagi: Capitán de Shohoku, además de esto su posición es de pivot ya que su altura de 1,97 le entregan imponencia ante sus oponentes además de su fuerza de lanzamiento.
Akagi es un estudiante aplicado, perseverante y serio. A simple vista parece un adulto, sin embargo guarda fervientemente sus sueños de llegar a las nacionales.
Apodado como “Capitán Gorila” por el mismo Sakuragi.
Takenori Akagi: Captain of Shohoku, he also plays center, as his height of 6'5" gives him an imposing presence over his opponents, in addition to his shooting strength.
Akagi is a diligent, persevering, and serious student. At first glance, he seems like an adult, but he fervently holds on to his dreams of reaching the nationals.
Nicknamed "Captain Gorilla" by Sakuragi himself.
Kiminobu Kogure: Un personaje que en sí no tuvo tanto tiempo en partidos, sin embargo la motivación y preocupación que entregaba a su equipo era digna de admirar. Él junto a Akagi estaban en su último año escolar lo cual les ponía presión de lograr algo significativo.
Apodado por Sakuragi como “cuatro ojos”.
Kiminobu Kogure: A character who didn't see much playing time, but whose motivation and concern for his team was admirable. He and Akagi were in their final year of school, which put pressure on them to achieve something significant.
Nicknamed "four eyes" by Sakuragi.
Ryota Miyagi: Este miembro del equipo es el más rápido y a pesar de tener estatura baja no le resta capacidades, su posición es la de base, encargado de robar balones y asegurar puntos. Aunque no es impedimento para que realice jugadas individuales y realice anotaciones.
Ryota es un alumno de bajas calificaciones y bastante problemático.
Ryota Miyagi: This team member is the fastest, and despite his short stature, it does not detract from his abilities. His position is point guard, responsible for stealing balls and securing points. However, this does not prevent him from making individual plays and scoring points.
Ryota is a student with low grades and quite a troublemaker.
Kaede Rukawa: Un jugador solitario, su posición es de alero y no tiene impedimentos en realizar anotaciones de diversas áreas de la cancha. Además de esto es enemigo acérrimo de Hanamichi Sakuragi.
Su pasatiempo en la escuela es dormir en la azotea, se encuentra en primer año pero rara vez se le ve en clases o despierto en ellas. Rukawa es un integrante más del grupo de los problemáticos.
Kaede Rukawa: A solitary player, he plays as a small forward and has no trouble scoring from various areas of the court. He is also Hanamichi Sakuragi's arch enemy.
His hobby at school is sleeping on the roof. He is in his first year but is rarely seen in class or awake during lessons. Rukawa is another member of the troublemaker group.
Hisashi Mitsui: Desde temprana edad fue considerado como “el jugador más valioso”, además de ser un admirador del profesor Ansai, esta fue la razón de que decidiera optar por la preparatoria de Shohoku.
Sin embargo un accidente lo saca de las ligas hasta recuperarse, es ahí que se vuelve un renegado qué odia el basquetbol siendo el enemigo número 1 Ryota Miyagi.
Aunque sí amor por el deporte lo hace volver y esforzarse y dar lo mejor de sí.
Hisashi cumple la posición de “escolta (shooting guard)”, además de ser un importante lanzador de tiros de tres puntos.
Hisashi Mitsui: From an early age, he was considered "the most valuable player" and was also an admirer of Professor Ansai, which is why he decided to attend Shohoku High School.
However, an accident took him out of the leagues until he recovered, and that's when he became a renegade who hated basketball, with Ryota Miyagi as his number one enemy.

Hanamichi Sakuragi: Alias el genio Sakuragi, un joven renegado que no se interesaba en el deporte, llega a este solo para asombrar a Haruko, hermana de Akagi. Aunque en su inicio partió por agradar a la chica que le gustaba, terminó interesándose en el basquetbol y poniendo todo de sí para aprender y destacar.
Denominado por él mismo y luego aseverado por otros como el rey del rebote logró grandes proezas grupales y algunas individuales.
Además de eso era parte del grupo de los problemáticos.
Hanamichi Sakuragi: Nicknamed "Sakuragi the Genius," this young rebel who had no interest in sports joined the team solely to impress Haruko, Akagi's sister. Although he initially joined to win over the girl he liked, he ended up becoming interested in basketball and putting his all into learning and excelling at the sport.
Named by himself and later confirmed by others as the king of rebounds, he achieved great team feats and some individual ones.
In addition to that, he was part of the group of troublemakers.
Ayako: Entrenadora y motivadora del equipo, se ponía al tú por tú con los más problemáticos y los reprendió. Además era el interés amoroso de Ryota Miyagi.
Ayako: Coach and motivator of the team, she dealt with the most problematic members head-on and reprimanded them. She was also Ryota Miyagi's love interest.
Haruko Akagi: Hermana menor del capitán, alumna de primer año que sueña con jugar basquetbol, sin embargo su estatura no la ayuda mucho y se asombra con la estatura de Sakuragi impulsandolo a jugar. Ella es el interés amoroso de Sakuragi, sin embargo el interés amoroso de ella es Rukawa.
Haruko Akagi: The captain's younger sister, a first-year student who dreams of playing basketball, but her height doesn't help her much, and she is amazed by Sakuragi's height, encouraging him to play. She is Sakuragi's love interest, but her love interest is Rukawa.
Mitsuyoshi Anzai: El director del equipo Shohoku, de personalidad serena sin embargo se decía que en su juventud le apodaban el “demonio de pelo blanco” sin en embargo su apariencia bonachona decía todo lo contrario.
Mitsuyoshi Anzai: The coach of the Shohoku team, he has a calm personality, but it is said that in his youth he was nicknamed the "white-haired demon," although his good-natured appearance suggested otherwise.
Y no podía faltar el ejército de Sakuragi, sus cuatro amigos que más que amigos eran hermanos, le brindaban apoyo y en cada partido estaban ahí para alentarlo.
Confirmados por “Yohei Mito”, “Nozomi Takemiya”, “Chuichiro Noma” y “Yuki Okusu”. Ellos nos reflejan que la verdadera amistad existe y están ahí para apoyarte siempre.
And we couldn't forget Sakuragi's army, his four friends who were more like brothers than friends, supporting him and cheering him on at every game.
Confirmed by "Yohei Mito," "Nozomi Takemiya," "Chuichiro Noma," and "Yuki Okusu." They show us that true friendship exists and that they are always there to support you.
Sin duda este anime entrega motivación y cada uno de sus personajes nos regala una invitación a continuar y nos rendirnos en el camino.
