For @daily.prompt/3-february-2026-freewriters-community-daily-writing-prompt-day-3003-badly-made-gown
The gown is badly made. That shouldn't make you feel ashamed. You're not a good gown maker. So? There's plenty to learn by doing things badly. You can do them badly and then try to make them better. That's making.
Sure, someday you'll be an excellent gown maker and then you won't have as many opportunities for improvement. Maybe you'll be sad about that. There's always something to be sad about.
Gowns.
Wear that gown if you want to. No one will look at you askance. I won't. And if they do, proudly announce that you made it yourself. Then make another and another and another. The only way to make a lot of gowns is by making them. You can go back and make the same gown twice or make a brand new gown. Who cares! In fact, if the bride is cool, even she won't care. And the bride IS cool.
I'd rather have a hundred badly made gowns from people who love me than any well-made gowns from people who don't care about me.
Sincerely. I think. I guess...here, I'd rather have art from someone who thought of me while they were making it, no matter the "quality" than art from someone who is a professional, but doesn't know me.
But maybe I'd care if they were pants. Because if I can't do my daily work because the pants fell apart, that'd be cumbersome.
hmmmmm What's next? A chart-topping song?
