Hello fellow Hivers! So not to long ago I got a Wine recommendation from a fellow Hiver, . She said Kruger Rumpf was one of her favorite producers. So I went ahead and picked up a bottle. This is a Riesling from Germany, and is on the sweet side. I prefer dry wines, but the other one they had in stock that was dry, was a little out of my budget.
I have had some sweet Riesling not to long ago, and quite honestly I did not like it. But this one was surprisingly good! Yes I was a little skeptical, but with this thought of it being bad in my mind before I tasted it really made the wine even that much better. Riesling is such a versatile grape in the wine world. It is also one with great age ability. Not to many white wines age very well, as you find in reds. There are even bottle of German Riesling from the early 80's drinking very well today. All I know is, this grape deserves my attention, and I will be seeking out more bottles. Thank you so much for the tip Emuse, I think now I wont be so shy to spend the extra $, and pick up the Dry Riesling from Kruger Rumpf, CHEERS!
PS: This stuff goes very well with cake!
