When people think of wine in from California, Napa Valley is probably what comes to mind. Rightfully so. Napa Valley is home to some of the best wines of the world. Also home to some of the most expensive wines of the world. Land is not cheap in this part of the world, so that means neither is the wine. So the winemaker better do a damn good job at what he does! Value can be found though if you look in the right places.
This Cabernet consisted of multiple vineyards through out the valley, and can be considered an entry level wine. A rule of thumb in wine, the more specific of the place of origin, the more $$. This Cab was a smooth wine, and had very little oak, which is great to see. Last Napa Valley Cab I had was so over oaked, it took 24 hours of decanting for it to be drinkable. Even though this wine was good, it was nothing that stood out. But I am not complaining, CHEERS!
