Today I will share my experience of another beautiful day, or better say morning which I spend on my Logarska Valley trip. We did a short hike up to Grohot mountain lodge, located at the mountain pasture. This is also part of the Solčava Panoramic Road, from which I already share a post couple of days ago and if you missed it you can find it on the lonk below:

After breakfast at our tourist farm, which was by the way amazing, we went in a car and drive for about half an hour till we came to Bukovc excursion farm. That is not just any farm in the area, as it is known to be the highest located farm in whole Slovenia. It is not as high as you would think, but at 1327 meters altitude it is slightly different to do all the work which has to be done on the farms. They are offering a good meal for day travellers, but there is no option to do sleepover. It also offers an amazing view, which you will be able to see on the first photos.
I have to admit I was surprised when I get the last parking space up there. About 50 vehicles were there before me and I am usually the fast guy who can't sleep. This time we cam at around 9 am and so many people were there bofore us. After I spoke with the owner of the farm and they said many people starts their hike to the mountain peaks here. That is somting to do in the future as well. But since our baby is only 15 months old, we have to wait a bit. Looking at the mountain pearks is stunning, but looking from mountain peaks have to be even 10 times better.
The trail itself is descenting for the first 10 minutes so you are wondering if you are on the right way, but don't worry you are. Soon you came to not very steep hill which you have to beat to come to the end point and your reward. I suggest your reward is some of the delicious typical Slovenian dishes they offer at mountain lodge there.
In total we needed only about 35 minutes as it is about two kilometres distance. Nice walk for families as well. You will see some cows on the way and air was fresh that day which was just perfect to escape summer city hotness.
There is another trail leaeding through forest area, so it might be even nicer but we didn't find at and to be honest also didn't look for it very closely as our young one was getting really tired, so better get down quick and safely the way we went up.
Reccomend this activity as it is only half day, so if you are staying in Logarska Valley four couple of nights, you have to find time to visit Grohot as well. Mountain pasture is really offers nice views on all the mountains surrounding it all around.
